I am not trying to make anotther thread trying to say We want Hallifax! We want Gaudiguch! There are plenty of those.

I just want to find out what people think/hope about the Hallifaxian and Gaudiguchian (those the right words?) Guardian Archetype guilds. We know that Gaudiguch has the Illuminati, and we have a vague idea of what the Vortex is like, but all we know about the Continuum and it's guild is that it has something to do with crystals (the picture of the Trill with crystals floating around his head)

Thre should be something chaotic and random for the Illuminati's cosmic beings, and something ... orderly and logical (?) for Hallifax'.

As for the topic, the history files on the main page mention the 'Matrix Research Institute'. There's your Hallifax guardians.

I'm gunna throw a semi-wild guess that the Continuum would be kind of like Xyl's library (I'm very tired, so if that names wrong, feel free to correct me) The cosmic beings probably being somewhat similar to Xyl, logical and arrayed...

Hallifax's cosmic being will be the Brains from Futurama, whereas Guadiguch's will be the Nibblers.

The Illuminati won't have ents. They'll instead invest powers in themselves. Sort of like Nihilism in the Wings/Scales/Tail-thing. Basically, bonding with different Lords would allow them to add something else to their body, each part having a different effect.

I have a lot of ideas for the Hallifax guardians. They would have a number of different ents, perhaps one for each 'Lord' or whatever they have up on Continuum. Each ent would be a crystalline prism with a different number of sides, and would be powerless on its own, simply floating around and following you.

You would also learn different light rays, which you could then reflect through various crystals to cause a number of afflictions. For example, 'INVOKE INFRARED THROUGH TRIANGULAR AT KAHAZUL'.

That sounds even more complex than astrology.

Not really - astrology's main complexity is that it is ever changing. This would take some time to master, but it wouldn't be that bad. Something like...

One of the final skills would be 'white', which would hit with every affliction possible by that prism for a large power and eq cost, like allhexe.

About continum. Make it a place made of crystals. Make it so it only has one road that will start in the Matrix and in the last room it will also end in the matrix. Then have different crystals floating around that will transport you to different chambers and different places with the same principle of ending where you started. The "supernals" could be different shapes of energy floating around.

For vortex. A combination of Nautilus Pompilus street and the mountains of madness

Instead of angels or demons, the Illuminati could have "Auras", making it have some sort of similarity to the communes who have higher spirits. For the abilities, something along the lines of physical transformation of their bodies and the surroundings. Tentacles, claws, wings. Making one of the transformations the Aura of Chimera or something along the lines for the "ultimate" aura

For the "supernals". Well... There's always Neil Gaiman and/or DC comics. Seeing that they based Order on THE order (Or mostly into the world of the Lady of Order, Amethyst, Princess of Gem World), they could base Chaos on the Chaos(*cough* Shivering Jemmy*cough* )

This is good, because it is a deviation from our current Guardian seup. Call a demon/angel, tell it to do stuff, bladidah. It would get really boring having 4 guilds with very similar skills and the only difference is Good/Evil/Orderly/Chaotic. My only thing is that Haliifax guardian skills and Gaudiguch guardian skills should be direct opposites of each other.

Also, we need nameses! Continuists sound reeeaaally crappy. And what would their... Thingummies be called. We have Supernals, Emanations/Demon Lords, Somethingchaotic, Somethingordered. I Dunno... Storms isn't a bad idea for the Vortex IMO... And maybe Sages for the Continuum? Or is that too many things beginning with S...

It was never actually stated that that was the guild of the Hallifax guardians. It said that the Illuminati basically acted as the ruling power in Gaudiguch. I thought the Institute was just an organisation they set up to study the Supra plane. Anyway, the "Matrix Research Institute" is the worst name for a guild I've ever heard. The Gods can do better than that!

I don't know about the Matrix Research Institute, but I do know that as scientology-like as it sounds, the champion will lug around a huge couch that will allow him/her to summon Tom Cruise to aid them in combat.
