Maybe it depends on which half of the damage kills them, because I've seen the coruscating one lately. I see it more often when players die than when mobiles die, though. chin.gif

Yeah i think it does depend on if it hits them with the fire or not, but I am not 100% sure on that one. i would asume so since it can do diffrent damages

So far I've been bashing everything in Newton and I haven't gotten the cool message.

Doesn't everything in Newton have the same HP, and thus, die to the same part of the cosmic fire? So if the message only appears if the fire part kills them, then the magic part is always the one to do it, or something...

Not the same HP(the things at the top of smoke mountain are moderatally harder then those in the begining caves), but close enough useally; you only notice it if you have a really low int guardian/mage.

Also the quest giver shroomies have more health than the others. Anyways, so far I haven't gotten the cool message.

That's blast, not cosmic fire. And I wish the symbol strike kill message applied against denizens as well as players - it's not much, but a nice touch.

Until I begin petitioning the gods for custom symbol strike messages for every Demon Lord. biggrin.gif

Yeah I tested with some of my other characters and so far only Cosmicfire hasn't been working with the right kill message, oh well.
