I have a very accurate configuration and a set of triggers for mapping in Lusternia. Even then, you'll still have to occassionally fix up an exit or move some rooms around for a better fit. The mapper is difficult to configure well, and so I sell the script and config files that I use. Info available on my web site.

I've heard good things about Zarguan's mapping system. Thorgal also has one but i'm not sure how he works it, I only deal with his curing system.

From what I understand, the mappers pretty much impossible to set up without heavily customizing it, or buying someone elses config. I would say just map it by hand, personally, or use the already made maps on the website.

Well I sat for such a long time and I think i finally got the config right.
it still ocassionaly names rooms like "newbie:punk says"I am dumb" but i think it works fine I mapped the whole highway and achenka's peak and it worked seamlessly thanks for replying.

There's a difference between "good enough" and "flawlessly," I think. Many people set it up to live with extra stuff in their room descriptions or just skip capturing the descriptions completely and they don't worry about speedwalking, either. I set mine up so that it captures room descriptions as a single paragraph without people, demesnes, mobiles, items, weather, or extra carriages returns. I color rooms based on their terrain type. I break my maps into the proper zones. I do, however, still have problems with cows, sheep, and other things knocking off my speedwalking. It just hasn't been enough of a problem for me to get around to fixing it yet, even though I know it's a simple sort of fix. Heh.
