This has been bugging me for a while. Korolak kind of hit a snag when I realized he isn't a very solid character. So, I would like your opinions as to what I should do.

Partisan vote: Glomdoring.

Actual vote: Make seven bajillion alts until you find a fun part of the game. Worked for me. tongue.gif

I could do that but this is like my fourth alt blink.gif ... I have spent a considerable amount of time on each of them but they all seemed like they were missing something. I just want to fix Korolak at the moment.

Although, thank you for your advice.

I've been in the Geomancers since Open Beta, and I've definitely had my ups and downs of interest. There are a lot of opportunities in the guild to get involved and develop your character, I can think of one particular thing that is hopefully going to get started soon that will be very interesting.

I've always found that if I'm sort of tired of playing, especially if I've been fighting, I cut back and only fight when necessary (read: don't go raiding, do village influences, help if really needed). If you think that you can't develop your character any more as a Magnagoran or Geomancer, then maybe you do need a change of scenery, but I would try other things first, especially if you're worried about lesson loss at all, because it might not just be the setting.

No-no-no-no-no. Make a bajillion alts and put NO effort into them. They only exist to find what seems interesting. A good idea is to wander until you find a guild that pays attention to it's novices, and go from there.

I wonder if maybe there should be some really wierd RP twist like me betraying my brothers or something. Could that be plausable?
Ildaudid2006-05-31 23:54:54
Betray me and I will eat your soul. biggrin.gif
Anything is plausible, Korolak. I am sure you can figure out a way to betray your guild, city and friends... but you have to remember an RP move like that will lead to consequences... and I don't think while still trying to find yourself as Korolak you should make such a jump... Let's say you did and left for say Glom... then after a few years in Glom Korolak found himself and remembered that the only life for him was as a Geomancer.... Well the Geomancers may not take you back especially if you had betrayed them... The city may not take you back and your friends from there too... Betrayal is cruel mistress... she doesn't have many friends.
But yeah you could do it if you wanted to. smile.gif

Don't force your RP. Let it come. Shaeden didn't become a real personality/chararcter until 2 - 3 months in to the game. RP. RP, RP, RP, RP, RP. Never think "How would I react" to much. That over does it. Just respond as your chacter would. Hard at first, but it gets easier. Start simple. Work with your thoughts. See an untainted person? Shake your head as you think "Poor unevolved little bastard" or what ever. Don't have to say this. Just emote "shake." That'll start changing your thought train, and the rest comes natural from there. The trick is to -never- break character. Hard at first, but gets easier as you become more familiar with the characted. Oh, and let the Character flow. Shaeden really isn't what I -want- him to be. He is what he is, nothing more or less. (although he's a bit of a jerk wad... but lovable jerk wad... I hope)

Hmm, that is actually the most sense I have heard. Thank you for the advice everyone. I think I know what I am going to do.
