Ok, so i'm back as many of you probably noticed. Aside from that I would like to get involved in pking and fighting in general. I learned how to code and I have some grand ideas for it all in general.

So to cut it short, I ask two things as I didn't notice them on the pinned topics or in any other sections.

Could I get the affliction and unaffliction lines for:
Aeon
Anorexia
Locked Throat? (Might be Anorexia, dunno.)
Impatience
Any heavy affliction messages that have reoccuring afteraffects, such as a main afflict that gives others over time if not cured properly.

Misc messages: Instant kills so I can highlight and echo them.

Also, i've forged scimitars with 100/210/200 stats, give or take a few numbers. I am Igasho, I am a blademaster usually pumping out 20-21 strength depending on how generous Ritual Fortuna wants to be.
I am in need of some general tactics, toxins to use, limbs to aim for in general.

Any and all help would be appreciated as i'd like to start kicking some !%*. dry.gif

Asthma:

affliction lines:
Your throat begins to scratch, forcing you to cough.
Your lungs are much too constricted to smoke.
You feel a tightening sensation grow in your lungs.
You are breathing lightly.

diag:
afflicted by horrible asthma.

cure:
Your bronchial tubes open up and your asthma is cured.

Anorexia:

affliction lines:
You feel suddenly as if food is the most repulsive thing
The thought of food revolts you all of a sudden.
The thought of eating sickens you.
The idea of putting something in your stomach sickens you.
The idea of eating or drinking is repulsive to you.

diag:
anorexic.

cure:
Food is no longer repulsive to you.

Throatlock:

affliction lines:
Your throat has been locked, and thus you cannot swallow.

diag:
suffering a locked throat.

Impatience:

affliction lines:
You are too impatient to focus on anything.
You shuffle your feet noisily, suddenly bored.

diag:
impatient.

cure:
You are patient once again.
You shrug off your impatience and focus your mind once again.

EDIT: Aaand....Igasho suck, man. Go human.

Helpful stuff that I enjoy having.

I'd rather stick to what I am. I can still pull off an enormous amount of health, 9k and be tanky. My plate looks like 114/105 which is insanely high in my opinon, pre-nerf as well. Folken says i'll be able to pull it off, whether or not he's a good combatant or not is subject to anothers opinion. I see him as experienced though and I don't think it's impossible to kick %*# as my race. tongue.gif

Still leaves me with no clue as to what toxins to use. I was thinking heavy wounding with paralysis because focus body is grand in A. It takes a chunk of mana, and B. Has a slight delay so paralysis slows them down.
Recklessness, slickness were also on my mind, damage kill and heavy limb damage respectively. Combat here is much different than the other IRE muds so I need as much advice as I can get.
Ashteru2006-06-06 09:08:59
Hmm, well....if you do nice wounds, you could go for slickness alone and attack their head to pull of slitthroat too.....but that might be more viable as a Pureblade.

With two lunges to the head I pull off heavy damage, with 1200 base damage. This was tested on Shinza though, and the hood of her cloak was down. Meh, anyway the regain for balance on that with the 200 speed scimitars was 2.8 seconds. I think that's decent for a lvl2 slow balance race, correct me if i'm wrong. So with heavy damage to head with one combo you think slickness will seal the deal? What if they are stanced, or parrying. What alternatives or opportunities should I look for?

EDIT: Forgot that I still need to see what Aeon looks like and the cure message for it. I'd hate to spam stuff in coded delay and muck my system up when I make it. So it is the #1 priority.

EDIT AGAIN:

Need:
Aeon message/unafflict messages.
Instant kill messages.
Toxin arrays, combinations, lineups, whatever the %*#& you wanna call it.
Fallback tactics for a heavy hitting slitthroat lock offense.

Any and all additional help added to what Ashteru gave me would be appreciated.

Good luck Stagar. You'll be as good as Ixion if you just stick with it.

Not sure if that's a compliment or not as I haven't been around long enough to know who is really good and who really just talks the talk. Kinda off topic though as i'm truly looking for help. You know what i'm looking for, help an aspiring combatant out. biggrin.gif

Sure I'll help you out. 300cr for my system.

doh.gif I'll be completely satisfied when I create my own from scratch and make you run with your tail between your legs, boy-o. The part of fighting that makes a fighter good is knowing his capabilities, when you create your own system, you know your capabilities and know your limits and what to alter and counteract with in case something goes wrong. When you start buying someone elses system it not only proves that they are a tool, but it proves that you are worthless as well. Now get off my thread. angry.gif

honestly I would go with aslaran, you have the level to pull it off especially when most of us can pull it off at lvl 78.

Anyway, you'll need a lot more than a few lunges and venoms to pull off good kills, most likely you'll need to be able to keep someone down with impales, tendons and pinlegs and come over the top with a behead.

Wasn't implying that lunging would be my only tactic. I understand what you explained though, and it's probably going to boil down to extensive testing and trial and error for the offensive part.

For the defense, I know I can get that down and I still need Aeon messages and Instant Kill messages. Stressing this, stressing this. sad.gif

Okay.

Edit: You may have the level to be good as an Aslaran, but as an Aslaran, you won't have it for long, if you see what I'm *cough12con* saying.

I've played fast balance races on both melee and magickal and ranged combat across two IRE muds aside from here. I'm kinda tired of it and want to take something a bit more complicated and put it into motion, rather than follow streamline guidelines that make up your basic good fighter. I'd rather get recognized for my own talent. I just needed a few hints and tips.

Hmm if you want to try something interesting I think a Dracnari/loboshigaru/orchlash may be interesting, they are all pretty much strong warrior races, although as a damage warrior you will never get better than above average I'm afraid to much stops warrior damage and warrior damage is pretty poor generally.

Oh as a note you may want to pick your race depending on which organisation your in, dracanari would be a bad idea for example if you went against celest, level 3 cold weakness against an aquamancer staff would be insane.

If you do want to use damage though you could always switch better wounding/damage, lunges dont increase damage but they do increase wounding last I tested. So high precision scims/rapiers soften up the gut or legs then get out the damage swords and keep going, I bet hitting a pin leg with a 1k combo would hurt actually.

If you want to be pretty odd though take tracking, most warriors dont take it as the other skills sets on offer to them are generally considered more powerful and easy to use but tracking does have some interesting things you may want to play around with just for fun.

Good one Ferly, tell him to be a crap Warrior race so we can all laugh.

Ashteru2006-06-06 13:15:57
I think you all missed the point by now....don't give him advice on race, he doesn't want it....-.-

I'd give you the rest of the triggers, Stag, but I ain't in zMud right now.

I thought he was looking for a tanky type of race instead of a fast kind as he was bored of fast races, fast best warrior is the aslaran, lobo or tauran are pretty good if you want a tanky one, which I thought he wanted like a more tanky type.
Murphy2006-06-06 14:17:44
at least go neutral balance race with big str
Ekard2006-06-06 17:00:44
Stagar. go human at your level they are insane!!
