I am planning in the near future to write something taking place durring the Vernal Wars as I find it to be a very interesting time. But as things are vague at points, not to mention not being in chronological order, I have a few detailed questions. I will take speculation, vague and any other kind of answers! (Hopefully some Divine will respond )
1. In what order were the Soulless killed?
2. If Shanth was the only Vernal God to take down a Soulless single handedly (Crazen), who helped Tzaraziko to take down Illith?
3. Were the Soulless the only ones the Vernal Gods were fighting? As in, did any mortals, other Vernal Gods support the Soulless or were used and/or affected by the Soulless (Such as the influence of Kethuru in the Taint)?
4. Is it that Tzaraziko either a Lucidian or a Dracnari? Or could She have likely been another race?
5. Are the nexuses, made after the Vernal Wars, different from the original Edifices of Power?
6. Is all the power in an Edifice used up when a Vernal God is raised?
7. Were there natural Edifices like those found in communes? If not, how else could have Kiakoda discovered Faethorn?
8. Were all Edifices linked to another plane (whether or not the mortals were aware of such)?
9. Why can no more Vernal Gods be raised (as Princess Marylinth is said to be the last and final)? Is it due to limited power and magic in the Basin?
If any of these questions have already been answered somewhere in the forums could you also provide a link? Thanks.

1. The history on the website contradicts itself. It's either 'Illith, Zenos, Muud, Crazen, Kethuru.' or 'Illith, Muud, Crazen, Zenos, Kethuru'.
4. The truth of whether Tzaraziko was Lucidian or Dracnari has been long lost. That's why Halli and Gaudi feud over it.
6. No.

1. I don't think any were permanently killed.
2. I honestly think the histories are meant to be vague and even a bit contradictory, because it happened so long ago.
3. I doubt it, but then again, not knowing everything about history can help keep plot devices open.
4. This is meant to be very vague. With a gods ability to shapechange (think demigods, for instance), that would have been lost to history.
5. Probably not--although the ability to create one is likely lost to all. At least until Estarra finally caves in and gives Richter the quest to do so. ;-)
6. I don't think so, but it might cost at least 1 million power or something like that.
7-8. Can't say.
9. This is mostly a game thing. I think they need to figure out how a Vernal would work. Basically, I think they'd have to create a system where the god would have a lot of power to do things like miracles but be limited and need essence or power. It's also hard to deal with it responsibly--I remember Isune saying something about it would take "great maturity" to do this--they wouldn't give it to the most warhawk warrior. There have been hints about such gods being more limited and less likely to directly deal with combat. You'd also probably bring back some "lesser souless" to give THEM an enemy. Then again, I could be talking outta my ass here.

I'm fairly sure the Taint was a unique effect at the time, and only occured because only a bit of Kethuru's power was able to escape. I think most racial conflicts were put on hold during the Vernal wars, because people wanted to survive. The Soulless were eating people for millenia before the first Vernal.. so i think any thoughts of an alliance would have been gone by then.
4. Is it that Tzaraziko either a Lucidian or a Dracnari? Or could She have likely been another race?
She was probably either Lucidian or Dracnari. She came from the desert, that much is pretty well known, and during the Vernal Wars, the Lucidians were still a desert race with the Dracnari. So its pretty likely that it was one or the other.
5. Are the nexuses, made after the Vernal Wars, different from the original Edifices of Power?
Yeah. They are weak replicas. The Edifices of Power could raise a Vernal God immediately, and that was their sole purpose, pretty much. The Nexuses on the other hand are more like batteries rather than a generator--they don't create their own power.
6. Is all the power in an Edifice used up when a Vernal God is raised?
The histories would suggest yes, because the numbers of Vernals dwindled because they couldn't build Edifices fast enough. If they could have popped out 2 or 3 at a time, it probably would have been different. Its likely that the Edifices would have recharged, but probably over long periods of time.
7. Were there natural Edifices like those found in communes? If not, how else could have Kiakoda discovered Faethorn?
I'm guessing they built an edifice just like everyone else. Even Serenwilde has buildings, and the Edifices were mostly a magical endeavor, so I don't think they would have had a bias against that.
9. Why can no more Vernal Gods be raised (as Princess Marylinth is said to be the last and final)? Is it due to limited power and magic in the Basin?
She was the last one so far.. but the name of the game is Lusternia: Age of Ascension. Its all based around the future rise of Vernal Gods. Its just not time for that yet.

Don't forget the mortal who has to enter the seals and become an Ascended God every so often...

For all we know she could have been a Changling from the desert. I'd find that hilarious, actually.

Hilarious indeed.
