So, I'm working towards getting myself a deep pact. Been enslaving souls for Baalphegar, though I'm starting to think that maybe there would be a better choice.

On the one hand, Shinza follows Baalphegar, so it makes sense she carries a symbol of his. But on the other hand, I was wondering about the usefulness of having Mr Luciphage's symbol for the powers it can throw around, including one in particular... (Those who know, know)

Anyway, generally how useful are the symbols in a combat situation (flinging around tons of afflictions must have some benefit...), and is Baalphegar's one a respectable choice in that regard? I'm teetering right on the fence between sticking with him for Shinza's story, and disregarding that and taking a more useful symbol.

And if it's accepted procedure that I take the symbol of my cult (which I figured it probably should be) then... I'm pretty sure I saw someone who had a different symbol than their cult.
Or maybe not...

Anyway I have nothing against Baalphegar's symbol - I simply would have liked Luciphage's just as much - so yes, I probably will take his symbol, and I damn well will like it. kthxbai.

Bugger the rest of the Demon Lords, the only two worth following (ie. not pansies) are Nifilhema and Luciphage.

Nigredo has a Luciphage one through he follows Baalphegar, yes, but that's because he was given it during the event.

That seems an awfully powerful binding RP thing. I'd love sometimes to have Stagform (not for combat, but the antlers are awesome), but I don't follow Hart anymore. It would just seem off to me, if I were a guardian, to disregard something like that.

Murphy's RP in regards to following ideals/religions/demonlords goes as follows.

Luciphage gives me the most power, and thusly allows me to kick the most ass, hence I pact with Luciphage.

Should that change, and Luciphage becomes weaker, then i will change.

Since I'm betting you chose that RP on an OOC need to kick the most ass.

I've always started out being a good character in a good-aligned organization (i.e. Shallam on Achaea and Celest in Lusternia) but eventually over time I realized that I'm more neutral than anything so my characters always move to a neutral organization (i.e. Cyrene and Serenwilde). Sure, RP means you're immersing yourself in an unreal world but that doesn't mean you have to completely abandon what you (as a person) actually believe in or enjoy.

I know this is off topic, but I think I am going to declare Corinthian the awesomest person on the forums, for this comment and oh so many others. He has just barely beaten out Ialie, mostly due to the lack if ialieized drawings in recent times.

Um, I didn't exactly pick Shae's RP. I mean I made his base character, but he's really grown on his own since then, and at times even surpises me when he does really strange things

Pretentious? And yes, it is, though not entirely - sometimes you'll just find yourself going in a direction other than what you intended.

As for Murphy, he's a powergamer IC as well as OOC, so it's really not bad. He's the soldier that always grabs the biggest gun no matter the circumstances.
