Yes, I notice this also. It's quite annoying, to be honest, but maybe the intended impact is just minute.

That's absurd. The difference between looking like royalty and having no clothes should be at LEAST ten percent. The boost given by having trueheart facepaint and demesne influence should be at LEAST ten percent. Both are clearly less, and together, they are still less than ten percent.

Also, beauty enchantments give 75 ego every 10 seconds, whereas mercy enchants give a percentage of health (10%?) every 10 seconds. This could be intended, but it certainly also seems like a bug.

I hate the Beauty enchantment thing, too! It's infuriating.

Influencing needs to be looked at, IMO, but I guess the admins are busy with millions of other things at the moment. :sigh:

No clothes is supposed to hurt you like royalty does for charity. Nondescript provides the best results.

"No clothes" meaning with just Shorlen's shirt and skirt and no jewelry. I've tried EVERY combination of clothing I could think of, and never once noticed a change. I posted test results a while ago on it.

Really? I made an influence test result page some time ago and it took something like one less hit on the monks with nondescript as opposed to royalty.

Despite the bugs, Influencing is still awesome. I don't think it's a high priority at this point though. It's not like you're losing anything.

It's actually impossible to gain amnesty from certain organizations no matter what unless you are a demigod or have someone to chant/sacrifice for you.

I tried for amnesty against Queen Maeve with trans influence, a throne, trueheart facepaint, demesne influence, spiritbond sun, and looking like royalty. I am level 78 with 16 charisma +2 from throne for 18. I was sipping constantly and ate several sparkleberries. I still lost. She isn't even all that strong of a mob. Someone else who tried just barely won because he had artifacts to help him.

And yet Shayle manages to do it with no artifacts whatsoever. It truly isn't that impossible.

(As far as I know, she has no throne, definitely doesn't have demesne influence or trueheart, etc.)

Maeve is easy, whereas Quettle takes me a long time. I'm a human, mind you, not a faeling/elfen/ imp-merian who has ridiculous charisma.

Maeve changes if corrupted by night, her description, room presence, emotes, and analyzed personality change, so ya saying that shayle can influence her easily when she is getting amnesty from her for moon or faethorn is not the same as saying someone is trying to get amnesty from her for night. I know how easy she is otherwise, I can beg from her when she is friendly (faethorn/moon) in about 6 hits or so.


Anywho, going back to Shorlen's complaint:

Clothing doesn't seem to effect things as it should(it hasn't in awhile), however CHA score -only- is supposed to effect recovery time (speed) not how many hits it takes (strength). A super high cha score can actually be a downside, if you're hitting so fast that you're sipping can't keep up.

Being faster is never a downside. If you can't keep up, you can just influence more slowly. If you're slow, though, you can't speed up.

She's EXACTLY the same under either Moon or Night, by the way- the personality that is easy to seduce. If you can do it under moon, you can do it with night.

FYI, begging isn't made easier by being naked, it's made easier by wearing few and/or worn out clothing - at least that's how it is supposed to work, no doubt that aspect is iffy as well.

Shayle is also level 85-90. Maybe I just don't have enough ego at 78.

Not really, a bunch of people make it to around 80 + or - 2 levels and stay around there. the differance between 78 and 82 is quite huge rankings wise
