Hi there! So, I've been playing Lusternia for several days now, and I thought it was about time to get active in the forum community.

I play Natarm, and I'm a taurian. Quite possibly the only Taurian in Glomdoring, though I think it was...Xenthos..who told me there were a couple others. But I digress.

I have just a couple random things I'd like to say, so here goes nothing.

1)Seriously, this is some of the greatest lore I've seen written in a game, period. As a player of WoW, people there go on and on about lore in the forums all the time. This game takes the collective lore of WoW, turns it sideways, and blows it out a through a proverbial woodchipper.

2)This forum has the single greatest collection of smilies I have ever seen, in almost 11 years of forum browsing.

3) The amount of activity from the Gods is crazy. After seeing Charune and Terentia threatening to destroy each others respective places...then seeing Fain and Terentia, later that SAME OOC day blasting each others followers just made my jaw drop. Total awesomesauce. Even if I didn't get to see someone's charred, smoking body.

4)The community here rocks. The people I get to roleplay with in Glomdoring are awesome, but its not just that; here on the boards, even when people in the community disagree, conversations seem to remain at least fairly intelligent. I've yet to stumble across a knock down, drag out, "Yo mama so fat" type of flame post on these boards, though I do stay out of the Idiots forum.

Those things being said, I intend to stick with Lusternia for a long time. I send my utmost respect and gratitude for the people who keep this virtual ship running, and to the community for seeming to be just a down right decent and intelligent group of folks.

The Divine activity's getting better, too. I really liked what happened a day or so ago, that was top notch. Shame I missed the Malicia/Ixion thing, though. I hope it sticks!

The forums can degrade to a pretty petty level when the Mods and Admins aren't quick enough to lay down the law, but it doesn't compare to how pathetic the WoW forums get.

Yeah, the community is awesome. I've been dormant for months, but I still hang out here and in the IRC channel. Hell, we even have a webradio station. We rock.

Having such a large collection of smilies isn't that great. Every time the server goes down, we get new ones. We haven't had much downtime in a while, and most of the time when we can't log in it's because of outside sources like above.net.

I've also not seen a single O RLY? owl, Headache guy, YTMND link, or anything else I'd normally put up with in a forum. Thank god. If I have to see the "Chunk Truffle Shuffle Dodges Neo Bullets" one more time, I'm a gonna beat someone.

...Watch out about that. Those pop up occasionally. The others don't exist here.

You just haven't looked hard enough. There was this spate of owls in one thread not too long ago.. but uh, yeah, welcome! You'll have a good time here, and even the Idiots section is (mostly) worth a read!

The difference is, here, the owls are used for sheer comedic purpose. You'll get entire conversations made up of just the various owls.. and its really more of a parody of those other forums, rather than serious "Omg, i'm 1337 and just pwned your argument with my owl!"...well.. except in Jack's case, but we have to be lenient with the mentally defective.

Don't mind Fallen, he's a smelly pedant who takes everything too seriously.

In actuality I'm globally renowned for being the sexiest and funniest Lusternian in existence. Feel free to pay homage to me via credit donations and sexual orgies.

Be careful, I've seen it on some of the other IRE boards. Not here, thankfully. We're pretty good about banning people with no redeeming qualities and sending them back where they came from.
