So, I've always had some eternal hatred of systems, regardless of who made it/how effective it was/however fast it cured/it cures this omg!/ et cetera. I don't know why, so, I've always tried to be manual. It works before, works great on boosted a typists WPM..but I've only managed it on Achaea.

It possible over here? I mean, I suppose a few triggers for some things would work. But I don't want a full-blown system where all I'm doing is hitting a few macros and not bothering to look at my cures.

What would useful aliases be? Highlights? I'm blademaster, so I'm pretty sure there'd be a lot of things I'd want bolded/highlighted/whatever whenever I'm trying to lob off someone's head.

(Zmud, too, for the note.)

You might want your BALANCE EQUILBRIUM and maybe auto sip, some of the triggers that warn you when some one is going to insta kill.

Getting triggers for shielding is good, and clotting.

Also prioty healing for things you can't heal by yourself in time, some auto wounding checking and a parry system would be nice.

Sano, HE DOESN'T WANT A SYSTEM I don't think there is anyone here who doesn't call a PARRY SYSTEM a SYSTEM.

I think it would be doubtful you could keep up with curing, stancing, parrying, clotting, sipping, styles and attacks without triggers, at least if you expect to reach high level combat.

For low to mid level, you could probably do fine without them though. I also must admit I don't have the typing speed to attempt fighting without a system, so I don't speak from experience. There might be some out there who have tried, and find it quite achieveable.

I think the problem with manual, is that often you need to cure multiple things at the same time, like in demenses.
Furien2006-07-02 15:48:59
Well, yes, I guess I'd put in a few triggers. Clot, insomnia, standing, ESPECIALLY things for demenses.

I'm used to my normal, sub-standard Achaean 'pto/prl/pll/pra/pla/phe' aliases to parry. I can barely understand how parrying works, here. wacko.gif

Basically the same way, I don't recall seeing anyone split their parry, especially when you have stancing to back it up.

If you're fighting a good warrior, you will have a severe lack of offence especially against 1 handers.
2 handers is a bit easier but still difficult.

Against a guardian you will have 0 offence, and good luck trying to cure aeon in anorexia and impatience with stupidity while maintaining an offence.

You can try it but you will never be any good, it's doable in achaea with being say occultists or mage where you can stormhammer every 7 seconds for a heck of a lot of damage and just cure in between, but realistically you will get carved up by warriors and guardians.

Since I'm not good at scripting and things, I'm going for a semi-manual. Basically, I'm having it highlight different afflictions in different colors, based on what cures them, and displaying what I need to cure them right after (in an Echo). I also have the balance messages highlighted in big bright colors so I can't miss them. Of course, right now, I'm just working on it against warriors, there's no way I could take a demense. Heck, most of the time I can't take the warriors.
