I've been thinking about renting my aethership. I'd have people pay me for the year a certain amount up front, and then they'd get perms for a year. It's got three collectors, three turrets, an empath grid, a shield, and an antenne diamount.

What do you guys think? What's a good cost? Are there disadvantages to loaning out my ship? If someone travels to an aether bubble and dies, does the ship eventually come back?

As long as the ship is not docked at a city/commune/aetherplex dock, it will slowly lose power. If the ship's reserves hit 0, the ship implodes, killing everyone on board and reducing the ship to 0 power, 0 reserves (but the reserves were already 0 in this case, so you just lose the 10p in the ship).

When a ship implodes, it "respawns" at the aetherplex.

So, if the ship is taken to an aetherbubble and left there, it will eventually implode and respawn at the aetherplex.

This is my understanding of it.

Implosions do not effect energy in collectors.

I guess it might be a problem if they dock it somewhere you're not allowed...

It can only be docked in communes/cities it is linked to. I don't think Richter has paid for his ship to be linked to places where he isn't allowed... Also, you can still access the ship from any prime aetherways portal if it is docked at another prime aetherways portal. Just remember to PORTAL EXIT AETHERPLEX to get there if it isn't docked at the aetherplex
