Here's some improvements to these kind of lame skills since they're not that great compared to other skills.
HUNTING
Cluck: Greatly reduce balance time so it could be somewhat better than spamming "g chicken."
Campfire: Add the ability to ROAST OVER FIRE that roasts an animal corpse (those animals that show up on PRINTS) allowing the Hunter to eat it.
Tent: Change it to a natural environment or just allow Hunting skills like Camouflage and Stalking to function in it. Also when you BREAKDOWN TENT have it instantly return the rolled up tent into your inventory. maybe add a level one health and mana regen while you are in a tent?
Stalk: Allow it to Stalk denizens around. Also maybe while stalking a target you can ambush it in the room with greater effectiveness.
Ambush: Way too long balance recovery and maybe give it a longer stun or something. Could be changed so you it takes a second to work so you can't just leave the room constantly and ambushwhore.
TRACKING
Mainly some new abilities.
BOND WATCH ON/OFF (Found in HuntingCompanion): Allow your bond to report people entering leaving the room its in.
Herding: Allows your bond to soothe panicked animals in the room with it. (Just a fun RP type skill, good for when you're rustling cows and they panic.)
Frighten: Allows your bond to frighten aggressive animals like a nymph.
Ward: While in your presence your bond will be inspired and have a large increase in its health. This is because wolves and hounds don't really have very much health. If you just increased it then people won't be able to stop the SEEK/UNITE combo. However, this makes it so the bond has a very substantial increase in health when its master is in the room with it.
Anyways, if you have some ideas just post them or respond to the ideas I posted.
EDIT: In case it wasn't obvious Herding and Frighten are passive abilities.
Also, Deepseahunter should at least give Treading if not Fluidswim.

I like the Cluck idea, it's frustrating to wait those long seconds, during which the chicken has entered and left the room 4 times.
I LOVE the roasting idea. I just RP'ed it a few hours ago, but it would be great to actually get food from it that would soothe your hunger.
I never saw a tent big enough to stalk in. If you are in a tent, and someone tries to come in, you'd better see them, they take up the entire thing.
Not sure about the stalking of denizens. I mean, I can't see why not, but I can't see a good reason for it either. Unless you were stalking fae or something, waiting until they were on your side.
Ambush I would like to see with a slightly shorter recovery time. It's great to surprise people, but then they can attack right back by the time you have balance again, sort of defeating the purpose of the ambush.
New abilities in Tracking, well, a little broad.
As much as I think the Bond Watch idea would be useful, I can see it as worse spam then the listen command. I would be way too confused if I saw two sets of room entries/exits.
Herding, not so much. Seems rather pointless.
Frighten as well.
Don't agree with the Ward. Nothing else gets a substantial increase in health (that I know of, please yell at me if I'm wrong), so I don't think companions should either.
The one thing I REALLY would like to see would be a few emotes just for companions, hunting ones or otherwise. Not custom ones, like pets, but some standard ones, to give them more life.

I actually meant for it to be that you can initiate stalking someone by moving out of your tent.

Some quests require people to stay by mobs to make the quest go faster and smoother. This will allow you to keep on them and it's unique because no one else can follow mobs.

Well, maybe you wouldn't use it but I definately would because it would make it a lot easier to guard places and the message would be something like "Your bond reports

Maybe I didn't mention it but it would be a Passive ability. So if you go out and use Cluck on chickens and they panic your bond has a chance to calm them down. This would be the same for rustling cattle.
EDIT: Also when you have Herding and your bond is with you make it so you don't bump into cows or sheep anymore.

I don't see how you could think Frighten is pointless, it would function like Nymph so it would be extremely useful in low level bashing and also an aid in PVP because it would frighten demons, angels, fae, etc.

Well I haven't checked recently but before it was really easy to kill bonds, however now that I think about it they did increase their health but I'm pretty sure it's no where near the health of other ents.

I agree they should get those emotes like other creatures when you interact with them.
Also as another ability I just thought of for bonds.
BOND SCENT
if they aren't in your local area it will tell you what local area they are in. If they are in your local area you'll get the room name of them. However, if they have been affected by stink in the last day you can smell their location anywhere on the same continent. If they are in your local area and smell you get the room they are in and other people in the room with them.
EDIT: Also, spring traps should only be able to move you one room and not activate a springtrap again so they can't stack into those long springtrap trains.

I would really enjoy the roast command but I am sure that cooks would have a fit.
Genos2006-07-07 15:47:00
Hmm, well than make it so you have to roast a lot of animals so it would be fine for people who want to spend the time doing it. I know some people who have forage don't bother with it and just buy food and some people who have carrion do that as well. I think this wouldn't be too bad on cooks since you have to find an animal, build a campfire, then roast it. Anyways cooks can still sell those platters that raise stats.
