What is the most powerful class in single combat?
Shamarah2006-07-19 11:56:40
They're all fairly balanced.
Unknown2006-07-19 12:05:19
They do come up pretty balanced, but some classes need to do a lot of prep for combat ie druids setting up a demesne. So in a random encounter in the middle of nowhere, would it be an even balanced battle?
Shamarah2006-07-19 12:06:51
Obviously druids and mages would be at a disadvantage, because they have to set up a demesne.
All the others, though, can pretty much carry their offense with them.

Thanks for the info Shamarah

If you attacked someone in middle of nowhere and if he wasnt prepared then you have huge advatage not metter of what clases you both are.
Unknown2006-07-19 19:26:50
Warrior would be the best for random combat - mage/druids aren't at their full potential without demesnes in tow, and guardians/wiccans don't generally walk around with their full entourage, or their ent scourged/wrathed and their tarot or hexes set up. So, warriors have the least preparation.

We would, if it didn't cost ungodly amounts of power to def up. Fully deffing costs me over 40 power, before I even begin to fight. Guardians have it worse.

Overall, the strongest class if played correctly would be Moondancers, followed closely by Celestines, then any Knight class pretty much.
Moondancers has great defences, the ability to aeon and lock you down with hexes and their ents.
Celestines have the best instant-kills in the game and have Trueheal.
Both classes have great escape abilities between Tarot and Spores/burrow/flying
EDIT: Both do require alot of power though to use effectivley, as stated above.

Not sure where you get 40p.
Wiccan: 12p for fae + 10p for drawdown/nightkiss + 10p for hexaura = 32p
Nihilist: 5p for demon + 10p for whatever their version of wrath is + 8p for enigma + 3p for fool = 26p
Celestine: 5p for angel + 10p for wrath + 8p for enigma + 3p for fool + 3p for benediction = 29p
Unknown2006-07-19 21:22:34
I would say Celestines are the best combat class in the game followed by Mugwump hex wiccans with moon.

Don't a lot of defenses in Sacraments cost power? I'm talking fully deffed, not just decent enough to fight. If that were the case the total is closer to 15.
Soll2006-07-19 23:37:07
And 5p for Nature, if you're in a rush, or lazy.
Celestines
5p for Angel, 10p for Wrath, 3p for Jester, 3p for Warrior, 8p for Enigma, 10p for Honour, 3p for Benedictions = 42 power.

If a hex user, 32.
If an astrology user, lmfao go home nubcaek.

Angel costs 5, but Hexsense costs 10? Someone needs to look at power cost balancing. *pokes Hexsense with a pointy metal stick*

Well it is a trans skill, and it totally nullifies the one big disadvantage associated with hex use.
Sylphas2006-07-20 00:11:28
No no no. Hexaura I'm cool with. Hexsense tells me when people set off my hexes. I got this in Achaea for free on my traps, not even a mana cost. Why is it as costly as Trueheal, Serpent, Lich, etc?
Unknown2006-07-20 00:13:13
Ick, sorry. Yeah, that ought to be quite a bit cheaper, if not free. Does it just say "A hex has hit somebody!", or is it more specific? "A fear hex has hit Guido at the guard room!".
Sylphas2006-07-20 00:15:47
It tells me the room. Don't think it tells what hex, but I could be wrong.
Daganev2006-07-20 00:30:11
3 for yellow, 3 for aethersense
