The Admins keep saying people want to move Lusternia away from conflict quests, but do we really want that? I have honestly heard NOONE say they wanted conflict quests removed, only balanced.
Opinions?

Your first question has limited responses.
I want
"I'd like to make conflict quests much less important, but not remove them entirely."

I want them to be balanced, not less important or anything else, honestly.
Not rediculously long, but the Hart/Crow quests were honestly GOOD lengths for conflict quests.

I do not want conflict quests removed.
However, I am absolutely SICK of having to search for Lantern Fish for HOURS ON END to get one done, then not even get the honours line for it. I don't want short quests either, it doesn't make sense for such an important quest to be short.
What I would like is something more involving, with many stages. Long, but complex. Mixing talking to NPCs, small miniquests like the gorgog-quest pig-pushing stage, searching for a few items, giving them to an NPC who then transforms them into another item, then looking in the room descriptions for some other items, stalking seahorses, killing stuff, influencing stuff (although from what I hear it's not possible), begging stuff from others, teleporting to people in different locations, etc.
I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to combine it all... would it?

Hmm, good point, should I make a new poll? I hate not being able to edit polls

Sounds like the Gorgog quest!

Can you change that to read, "I would like conflict quests to be less important, but still matter"? Making them do nothing like they currently are being made to do is the same as removing them.

No, I like the gorgog quest I'm just saying it's not only possible, it exists. Or existed. Is that quest being removed too? Oh, right, half the effect is already gone. Is the other half still in place? The siphoning of power?

I think so - all negative affects were removed. It's just a quest with no purpose, now.

Well great then. We're settled. We're making all quests nice and fun like the Gorgog quest. (Disclaimer: I have never completed the Gorgog quest. I only know the pig pushing part of it.)

While I like Conflict Quests, at current the ones we have unless changed around a bit to be less tedious, I would like for them to remain but be the background for conflict, not the main part of it.
I chose Other because Id like to see some long ones, some short ones and some that fall somewhere in the middle.

With varying degrees of consequence depending on length. That's how I felt, hence why I voted other.
Personally, I'd love to see MORE conflict quests. Dozens of 'em. With a large variety of effects. I loved the conflict and intrigue regarding Crow vs Hart way back in the day pre-Glomdoring in the early early days. Bring that sort of concept back!

I'm not sure what you're talking about because I wasn't around back then, but I'm sure you're right.

I think a fun thing would be -overlapping- conflict quests. Take Hart v. Crow for instance, Crow rituals to weaken Hart. You could do it be harvesting dead stags for an offering, gathering shadows of stag in Serenwilde, or by a couple other methods. Gives more variety with the same ends.
Also, I think it would be good to have more of an emphasis on interfering with each other's progress.

I honestly have zero reason to play a game where the admins don't care one whit for what the players think, and only look after their own pocketbooks.
Goodbye.

You're going too far yourself now. I thought we had all agreed that extreme measures was not something pleasant.
EDIT: By the way, I like the option in the poll: "I have no opinion, I just like voting."

Sounds like a great deal of an overreaction, considering...the majority of us do not get paid. I know it certainly doesn't benefit My purse one way or another to be here. Well, technically it hurts it, to be honest, as I could be at the office instead.
