Yes everyone.. The wonderful sewers of Celest and Magnagora. It is my personal opinion that the creatures in these sewers should be a bit harder. Rarely anyone goes to these places I believe, everyone forgets about them.
It would be really need if they were upgraded and expanded. Perhaps a few different levels leading downwards were the creatures were increasingly large and disgusting. Especially in Magnagora. Mutated slimy rats with wings and stuff.. Ewww.. I'm shuddering thinking about it.

More people would probably go in them if they had the skill, but not everyone learns environment so just ends up not being used. Not sure even how high up it is cause I cant gauge where skills are on a list.

This would be neat, but what would Serens and Gloms hunt if they city didn't like them? Cities already have easier access to Astral and Magnagora claims many bashing grounds for itself. The communes aren't really hurting for bashing, but it is sort of imbalanced, especially with higher level bashing in sewers that a lot of us can't get to.
Daganev2006-08-13 17:30:24
I hunted in the sewers a lot. They were so easy I enjoyed not needing health vials *shrug*
Unknown2006-08-13 18:01:19
I've got to say no to this, Celest's sewers have almost 100 crabs in them it doesn't matter if most are weak, that's still a huge hunk of xp or offered essence. The cities already have the most org claimed hunting grounds, we do not need to give them something else to lord over.
Unknown2006-08-13 18:34:18
As the "Janitor of the Basin" I like going into the sewers, but if I'm not careful the creatures with "pwn" me. I got scared when I went into Celest's sewers because there were 5 crabs who jumped me at once.

That was our priority skill when Beta started. Aesthyr, Bakulao, and I went to Celest/Mag sewers a lot (we came from Achaea so we know sewers would be a nice leveling/money farming ground), I know Aesthyr leveled from 30-60 there in 2 days. But after that we went Astral hunting so... I ditched the skillset for Influence shortly.
Diamondais2006-08-14 02:33:51
'Bout high up is it in the skillset though?
Unknown2006-08-14 02:36:26
Make high-level commune warrens!
The cities have enough bashing grounds as it is.

I can't speak for the mag sewers, as they enemied me just off of novicehood, but the celest sewers are loaded, people might be underestimating them because they are generally weak creatures, but by the time you finally get all around to kill them all, they are respawning again.
Veonira2006-08-14 03:47:02
I find the Mag sewers ridiculously easy as a level 80 with about 4K health. I kill the baby eels in one hit with a staff, and the larger ones don't even put a dent in my health. Granted I have trans resilience and splendor robes, but I don't know how much those help with eels. I just think they're a touch too easy, but if they're aimed for lower levels they're fine I would say. I just seem to remember that Cyrene's sewers were pretty good-- it was risky for me to go down there and hunt (though possible) even in my upper 70s as a human mage.
Acrune2006-08-14 04:02:03
The sewers skill is too high up in environment. By the time most people get it, you're 1)No longer ratting for gold, and 2)Too high level for crabs/eels to be worth it.

That kinda answers my question, thanks. Might be nice if it were a bit lower I guess, a few more people might look into it but not really certain.

Uh, the only 'city claimed' bashing grounds are the Catacombs, to some extent the Shallach ruins, and earth/water. There's a handful of idiots who will jump you for killing Aslarans or Merian, but that's it.
Stop exaagerating.

Which is a decent bit of the total bashing grounds.
Shakaya2006-08-14 11:14:39
It's around expert. Maybe a little lower.

How often do I ahve to repeat it. -.-
You CAN do Spectre Island, as long as you either give us the corpses or make the spikeing quest.

Half the reason I bash is for essence. My time is better spent elsewhere if you claim half the proceeds from my bashing there. Same reason I disregard the essence laws on Earth and Water.

Don't complain if your OWN set rules stop you from bashing there, the opportunity from our side is there.
