I was wondering what would be a good name for a girl?

I came up with either Persephone or Demeter. I love both names. I also was leaning towards Diane. Also like the name Estarra or Aya.

Anyone else have any good female names?

There was this one girl in my school named Christmas. I thought that was pretty cool. I also like the name April, for some reason. And Tabitha.

Erris, Felre, and Serrista.

Or, "Diaquinn Celliati Enya Bob"

Did I just make up some of those? Yes. Build off them and let the words roll.

A guy I worked with told me about this teacher he had who's daughter's name was

"Female" - Pronounced feh-maul-ee

Apparently the parents didn't know they got to NAME their child, and the paper they got said "female" so they thought it was the name. >_
But yeah...for girls, I've always really liked Kalika, Callie, and Brooke. Obviously I wouldn't name two girls Kalika AND Callie, but...one of those.

The mother of the family I'm living with right now is a substitute teacher, and she always brings home funny stories about the kids and what they said or did. Some point last year she was calling role for this classroom and when she got to a certain name, she called out
"Umm...Ms. Jackson?"
"Here."
"How do you pronounce your first name?"
"Shuh-teed."

The name was spelled Hithead, but with an S at the front. Someone actually named their child this, and then had to come up with something to tell the poor girl.

My mother met a woman named Vagina, pronounced Veg-eena.

I like Elizabeth and Alexandra. I think they are both pretty, and a girl could grow up to own such a name without difficulty.

Are you from New Jersey? My sister's Father in law just told me the EXACT same story two days ago.. about Shuh-teed

I really like Brooke. And I love Jandra. Is that Mesopetamian or Thai? I tried looking it up and wasn't able to find anything.

Christmas is an interesting name for a girl. I met a girl once named December. She was such a great artist and she bested me at state finals on the violin. dry.gif No hard feelings of course.............wench.

Shuh-teed, huh? How was it spelled? Or would it offend the AANC (American Authority for National Censorship) aka anal people who think the word "Damn" is a bad word, even though its cited in the christian bible over 400 times. That's more than I can say it in a single sentence.

My best friend's daughter is named Elizabeth and her sister is named Kallie. When I asked her where she got Kallie from, she said she was into Hinduism at the time and named her after a goddess.

I just mentally blinked and thought to myself, "Oh god. The anti-christ is a woman!!!!" And then I quickly remembered that wasn't true. My nephew is certainly not a girl.

I remember hearing about this poor kid that was born into the Reirs family, and his parents thought it was 'amusing' to name him Harry. Seriously.

I wonder if they ever paid for his therapy after highscool/college doh.gif

Whatever you do, please keep in mind that children are exceedingly cruel and if you absolutely must give your child a name that sounds funny and/or unusual, make it a middle name so she has alternatives. smile.gif

With that said, let me give my suggestions: Alyx, Lara, or Samus.

Oh, and welcome back!
