Gaurdians (no, not the archetype)

Placed at certain areas of known vulnerability outside denizens of chief importance they would stop any enemied people from going past them. (Sorta stealing this part of the idea from one of the changes we wanted to make to Willowisp.)

Anyway, it would be a way to slow down raids and let defenders get a "help help" call before they realize that their beloved so-and-so is death before they get there.

A Celestian Avenger Angel stands here, blocking entrance into the Pillar, could be on celestia. Nil could have some big burly looking demon guarding each pit. Serenwilde could have a modified Champion "the Lady Captain of the Sterling Ladies stands here, wearily protecting the First of the Maidens at all times" and so on..

The just of it would be that before initiating combat with an Avatar, Supernal or Demon Lord this other denizen would need to be killed, they wouldn't be overly strong, but they would refuse passage to enemies on cosmic, and on ethereal they would sort of jump in front of their charges absorbing damage, so everyone would get a unique shout on CT before any damage would be done to the thing in question.

Comments, criticism, and jabs at how idiotic I am for even mentioning another possible 'buff' are all welcome. biggrin.gif

A more advanced alarm system would be nice I think, as yes, often the denizen is dead by the time anyone gets there. I'm not sure about this particular idea, but maybe I just don't understand it.

Isn't there some sort of skill in Influence that lets you try to influence your way into not being an enemy anymore. Can't think of it at the moment...or if I'm even remembering right....

But if there is, wouldn't this make it impossible? Cause, either you'd be dead, or you'd have to kill the guardian thingie and draw the wrath of which-ever org protects the Avatar, Supernal or Demon Lord you were wanting to go influence.

Or am I totally getting myself all confused?

Well if something like that were to happen... they should put alarms back in the hunting/tracking specialty... they were taken out because it warned the trappers that people were coming in.... I thought they were cool, but...

I thought there had been something wrong with alarms in Tracking, and they just took it out rather than fixing it?
