What are some examples of good things to order others to do? I'm talking about having your loyal minions, like pookas or demons, controlling enemies to aid in combat. Any suggestions?

Focus body, drink vitae, sleep, remove robes, point staff (person) here, unwield (weapon), sip (poison), powermask, clan induct (yourname) .

You can currently also force energylink, but I expect that to change very, very fast.

If they are a druid or mage, ENEMY one of their allies, or UNENEMY ALL to mess up their demesne. If they are a warrior, COMBATSTYLE defensive might reduce the amount of offense they do slightly. If they are a guardian, wiccan or other ent user, you could try making them KICK (loyal), but I don't know if that will work.

Warriors could also be forced to attack when you know you have rebounding active, and druids could be forced to thornrend while you have no thorns (don't know if that's possible).

I've like removing armor or robes, but only if you're in a group with a warrior. If they put them back on, it's a long balance loss. If not, they get smacked about.

Give them shovel and order them to dig.

Geb did that to me once. And i was like: Hmm, why im getting balance so slow?

EMPTY ANTIDOTE. Hand poisoned food item and force eat, or stab with envenomed athame.
PUT PIPE IN BACKPACK
EMPTY MANA. Succumb. Toadcurse.
EMPTY (insert random curative potion here.) Hex into next week.
DIVE
THROW (weapon) (direction)
Hand target bottle of kamikaze death whiskey. DRINK WHISKEY. Repeat as needed.
CT (insert honeycake song here)

Emptying vials might not always work - most people have more than 1 of each type. Plus, there's also allheale.
Pipes, on the other hand... that's just nasty.

Throwing won't work on warriors, they have Gripping.
Ildaudid2006-08-16 08:16:46
Most of these moves being so cheesy you shouldn't be in combat.. emptying vials is the lamest way to fight. It's about as cheesy as cannibalize mana and toadcurse was. Fight to slow them... and win through compentence.
Gelo2006-08-16 09:25:01
Even if forcing people to empty vials is possible I wont. Its just... oh I dont know, I'd rather win in some other ways than that. closedeyes.gif

Focus spirit, cannibalize mana, trueheal, order entourage kill me.

The last doesn't really work that well since they can repair it instantly if they're on-balance and it fails if they're off-balance.

I tend to use focus body if I'm draining mana, or writhe otherwise (bothers their balance.) Sleep also is okay against people who can't cure aeon properly.

But I agree that forcing people to pour down mana is an amazingly lame move, not because it's mean, but because it's craptastically bad, since most serious fighters carry spares. EMPTY ANTIDOTE, poison is much more effective.

just don't use it to steal people's stuff, no one likes that and if you do that to someone, they might to that to you a lot more than what you did to your last victim, you can empty or let them force something to do against their allies or with their enemies but NOT stealing or dropping items.

Why is that any different? huh.gif

I'd find someone emptying my precious anatine more antagonizing than someone stealing a dreamcatcher or a piece of jewelry.
Sylphas2006-08-31 03:50:41
Dreamcatchers can store 1500 power worth of motes, theoretically. If someone stole a bunch of my motes, I'd be pissed.
Unknown2006-08-31 04:02:08
Yrael stole from me a lot of my stuff when I was still a novice... all those gold and greatrobes stolen from me... angry.gif

Psh, why do you store your motes in a dreamcatcher? That's just asking for trouble. tongue.gif

Really? I could only get 205 motes into my dreamcatcher, and they're all 1 power motes as far as I know. But yeah, stealing that much power would be a huge loss to a dreamweaver. Not to mention the time and willpower it takes to get it back. I'd cry.

And there's always giving them poisoned food and making them eat it. There's a thread about that in the Logs somewhere.
Sylphas2006-08-31 12:10:04
Really? I had always assumed they worked like tarot decks and pocketbelts, 6 slots of 250.
