I don't know about you guys, but I would pay a hefty sum of credits for an artifact deck of cards, which would allow for all sorts of card games to be played between people. (Including my personal favorite, Texas Hold'em)

The commands would be fairly simple, and it would be an ordinary deck of cards, but with slight changes.

Suits: Skulls, Dolphins, Spiders, Antlers
Court Cards: Guards(Jacks), Ministers(Queens), Guildmasters(Kings), Nexii(Aces)
Jokers become Rogues.

REMOVE ROGUES FROM DECK (removes the 'joker' cards until you Recall the deck)
DEAL CARD TO (gives target person a car, obviously)
DEAL CARD DOWN (places a card face up)
RECALL DECK (if you hold the deck, returns all cards to the deck)
FOLD CARD (returns a card you hold to the deck)

Seems like it would be pretty simple, and add a whole heap of fun.

I think that would be fun if you could play a game of cards, instead of like Blackjack, with friends and it could be just for fun. Like chess. It'd be more fun I think is if you can bet anything, like a vial of health instead of money or credits. Heh, maybe we could somehow do strip poker or somesuch in Lusty...

Love that idea... but it's so simple and easy to code, maybe it should be an artisan or arts item instead?

The only reason I proposed it as an artifact was due to Dice and Chess Boards both being artifacts. Aand since you can 'recall deck' which magically summons the cards from peoples inventories.

Yay... though it might be harder to actually play a game with the cards.

Meh, some games wouldn't work, but there's nothing that can be done about that, unfortunately.

But all forms of poker, and blackjack would work. And that alone would be worth it

I want to play a*hole. That's a fun game.

Better syntax:

DEAL CARDS TO PLAYER
PLACE CARD ON
FLIP (Must be on a table you're seated at)
CARDS IN
DISCARD
SHUFFLE DECKS (Joins two decks together)
COLLECT CARDS (Takes back all cards from the table, joining them in a single deck)
STORE DECK IN (Long balance time. Puts away a single, complete deck of cards in the deckbox.)
GIVE TO
GIVE RANDOM CARD TO
DISPLAY HAND
SHOW HAND TO
CONCEAL HAND
TAKE FROM
TAKE FROM DISCARD PILE.

Of course, artisans would be able to make game tables. Game tables take up a lot of space and commodities, but they allow game play and can have up to six chairs placed around them (Those chairs can only be used to play games, but don't take up space beyond the already excessive space taken by the table).

This set of motions is pretty much all you can do with a deck of cards, and should allow for nearly all games I can think of.
