Sometimes the forums are dumb.

On topic, I've got a decision to make regarding how best to spend some credits from a trade perspective.

I can get one of the following:

1. Magic Spatula - 300 credits
2. Private Cartel - 1,000,000 gp

I can't decide which would be the best way to go though. The spatula would increase my output and save me money on commodities but would limit me to products that almost any cook will be able to make. Its hard to stand out from the crowd when your stuff is the same as everyone else's.

The cartel however would allow me to be the sole owner of all my designs. This way I'd have products that were unique and could only come from me. Downsides to this are that I wouldn't be able to bind the credits initially so I'd lose out on bonus lessons and that having a cartel would not do anything to increase my production power.

I guess it boils down to a decision between which is better, more products or unique products?

Cartel. Go for cartel. Now.

Go for spatula. And join Mag. Now.

If you want to make gold, then get the spatula. Cooking in Serenwilde can make insaaaane profits if you have a shop. But you need a shop. Otherwise its tough.

Edit: If you get the spatula, you'll be able to afford the cartel quick enough if you have a shop.

Yeah, this is the elephant in the room. Not having a shop is going to play a massive part in this decision too though its not something I can exert much control over at the moment.

Spatula. Having a cartel never made anyone any money.

Talk to someone with a shop. Food is a huge draw, and a smart shop owner would kill for an active cook to sell wares with them.

Save up 3,000,000 and convince Nejii to get you a shop for it dry.gif

I think I'm missing something there but considering I was ecstatic yesterday for saving 10k I don't think it'd work anyway.

Odd, not sure where you live but in the southern half of the world, there are shops going up for sale all the time.

But get the spatula, selling +con food will more than make up for any uniqness your looking for.

I'd love to have a shop in Magnagora but politics makes that a high risk investment to put it conservatively.

Spetula, get Spetula!!
And just messages to people who have shops in your city/commune if they dont want to cooperate with active cook. I bet many would be willing to cooperate, including me.

And im serious go for Spetula, Cartel isnt woth it.
