Done won't ruin it either

Apparently though, if the blurb that originally went along with this was right, a huge % of college students couldn't figure it out.

Really? It took me one pass, maybe 12 seconds.

That's kind of sad, if a big precentile of college kids couldn't find the difference. Think that's as bad as most americans being unable to say all 5 freedoms of the first amendment.
Unknown2006-08-25 22:31:45
I only got it on the second pass.
Arix2006-08-25 22:32:04
got it, I think
EDIT: yay, I was right

What's even funnier is, a group of random people were approached with the declaration of Independence at some point back when the "war on terror" first broke out, and hardly any of them knew what it was. Most comments were that it was completely unpatriotic and people who wrote stuff like that should be put in jail.

Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom to peacefully assemble, freedom of religion...oh
But I can find what's wrong on the list above!

The fifth is obscure...it's the right to petition for the redress of grivances.
In other words, the right to sue the bastards.

I think I found it, and if I did, it's lame. If I missed it, then I guess I'm lame?

I agree

I just thought it would be worth posting. I caught it on my first pass, but I can actually imagine people who don't spend all their time on a computer missing it.
You have to realize, we cybergeeks have a slight advantage here

What's worse is most americans, if given the choice are willing to have the First Amendment scraped. Which is sad, but it is even worse is people saying that our right to have a pet is one of the first amendment freedoms, the right to have an education, the right to drive a car. I'm going to try and find the article my journalist teacher gave me about it...
Sylphas2006-08-25 22:42:00
Anyone who can't recognize the Declaration of Indepence shouldn't be allowed to vote. Same goes for the Constitution.
Unknown2006-08-25 22:43:07
...stupid computer. any, manage to find the article, well my copy anyway. I'll look for the link.
here's the complete article. http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/200...on/6165047.html
Didn't want to take bits and pieces since I think the article is a good one and should be read.
I can understand some people missing the "the right to petition for redress of grievance" because it is kind of hard to remember because of the wording but people do it all the time.

I guess it was what I thought it was.
