This might be a short thread, and I don't have a log, but I really had some amusement with the little bit of fun some admin had possessing the pixies and sprites in the Serenwilde.

(I wasn't sure if this was the players controlling their ents or using dramatics, but I definately know nobody other than an admin can make a pixie shout).

And I've had a Scholar and some random viscanti mob get into a fight. Attracted alot of attention! Was funny!

I hope it wasn't pure silliness, but gods engaging in minor RP is always something to be commended.

It was hard to follow what was going on. Basically I was in the Serenwilde and Minerva sent her sprite to follow me around and pump up my mana. I had a little fun with it, then it started talking back and some kind of fae convention started happening at the Moonheart Mother Tree.

It was kinda silly, but these were fae--pixies and sprites, so if anybody's gonna be silly it's those types of creatures. I insulted a pixie and it put me in la la land, then we were discussing fae biology for a bit.

Then we went on a hunt for honecakes and then laysus wouldent give the cake to mine or another persons sprite. Its hard to tell who's but they got mad and we held him down and stole it and ran away and yea pretty much it was a honeycake hunt.

I just hope we remember that while these creatures appear childlike and innocent, they used to be objects of deep spiritual importance to Serenwilde and to a lesser extent Glomdoring. They were the living representation of the animism we practice, and our society was mostly founded on honoring them as near-deities that should be worshipped so as to bless the surrounding wilderness with blossoming life and the inherent magic of the natural world.

Obviously they are sometimes best treated with the same lightness of spirit they project, but it would be nice at some point to reinforce their qualities other than the superficial.

Meh, still sounds like a fun little event.

I absolutely loathe the assumption that the fae are all sparkles and cuddles and hugs. They're based on real mythology. Fae in legend would trick you for a laugh, and if you died during, oh well, all the more fun.

Sure, Sylphas, but the pixies seem to me to be the most lighthearted of the Fae, what with all their giggling and other antics.

I don't think fae should be slapping people in the face, though. It's quite rude, and it was rather frustrating to me when I wanted to go hunting and everytime I faecalled, my sprite ran off again...

There was an incident after that where my sprite accused Nejii of shedding too much, then said he made an ugly girl... Poor Nejii.
