The thread about a who's who sort of list, aka HELP NOTEABLES, inspired me to start a more comprehensive recording of the Moondancer guild history since the game opened. It's a pretty big task and I'm sure I'd miss a lot if I attempted it without help, so I'm asking in game and also out here on the forums for any and all information you think is relevant to the guild's history as a whole. Personal stories are great but unless they've had an impact on more than just a couple people it's not something I'm really looking to record at the moment. People like Gwynevere though, for example, who has had a long running history and faux fued with the Moondancers are worth mentioning and their story worth telling for the history.
You can either post in this thread, PM me or message me in game with information. Tis up to you.
Thanks in advance!
30/08/06: I've added a text file with a very (very) short list of people who were making their voice heard during the first few Lusternian years. Some of them did not make a real impact until later on, but I feel this is the best way to start my list. If you could take a look at the list and comment in the forums or to me directly via pm or email (gavin.thomas@gmail.com) that would be great. If you have in character dates for the things they've done that would be awesome too. I do have some notes on them, but I've got a few files running and don't want to mash it all together till I'm more confident about the order of things.

Who have you thought of so far?

I've got a list in the works, I'll post it up when I've finished brainstorming.

Gots, I have an absurd amount of info about this, too much to know of where to begin... Of Gwynevere, Ibaesha, the Summer Court, Skyla, Brylle, the rise of Glomdoring, me, Tsu, Laysus, the Song event, etc... And I have a lot of logs, starting from Virvain's return (a very significent event in Moondancer history).

Will do, though Laneth feels guilty about never getting it written up like he said he would.
I need a distraction from work and uni now though, something creative to sink into, so I'm thinking this project will work for me, along with some stories I've half written and forgotten about.

Don't forget the very beautiful, charming, and godlike Merloch.

He's in the post I made to the Moondancers explaining what kind of events and personalities are important to record about .

I'm sad I never got to meet Merloch, I've heard a lot about him from a ton of seren's, all of the other old moonies were interesting to meet, even for a brief time as a novice or youngling.

Merloch and Brylle made a scary but effective team. I miss em both. They were both amazing people that just stood above the rest.
Gwylifar2006-08-29 12:42:12
Dare I mention, don't forget Munsia?

I never found them scary at all! Brylle always treated laneth as a psuedo-son in game, and was really nice to me personally out of game.
Oh and Gwyl, did Munsia do anything worth recording when she was a Moondancer? I don't mean that in an insulting way, but I'm not going to write about every single person.

I never did like Merloch. He was rude and abrasive when I knew him, and I left the Moondancers to become a Hartstone after a few IG years.
However, I was both there when Lisaera became Patron and quite involved in the fae girl incident, so feel free to ask Bau.

You just seem to bring that out in people, Bau.

She used the guild channel to pick up girls. In particular I remember her using it to send out an invitation for a girl's-only party (*wink wink nudge nudge*) on ethereal. Surely that's got to be a major turning point in history.
Verithrax2006-08-29 19:22:09
So... in other words, she inspired you to become what you did?

HEY! I remember that.
She tried to pick up Aerenna too.

I imagine it's the rudeness and abrasiveness in myself at times. However, snapping someone's head off the first few days of the open beta for saying hours instead of days is plain nasty.
But I seem to recall blocking your last forum name, so perhaps it's about time to do so again.

Let's try to keep this thread from descending into snide remarks and jabs at one another. Less and more ! More Moondancer love!
