This is just a petit idea, but I remember Lisaera saying that the ideas submitted in the game are never looked at, so... I don't use it anymore >.< Inspired by a moment of randomness and by Sheia (wub.gif), could there be a message notifying a deaf person when someone else in the room talks?

i.e.
You see Sheia make some movements with her lips, but no sounds come out.

Novices or even non-novices are sometimes deaf and don't realize it, creating a lot of misunderstanding and confusion. With some notification it can reduce this problem.

Okay, that's all!

This is a simple idea.

And its simpleness is what makes it so brilliant. Please add this.

That would be wonderful. I forget I'm deaf a lot myself. dry.gif

I'd love this. The MAIN problem is when you don't hear aethers though. And I don't want to have to leave lipread off just so I'm more likely to notice that I'm not hearing anything.

Deafness is highly annoying. dry.gif

THERE IS NO LOGICAL REASON WHY DEAFNESS SHOULD STOP YOU HEARING AETHERS!!! :flop:

I'm never gonna give up on that one.

Anyway, this would be a great idea. That time they gave us all blessings because of the downtime, I was deaf up on the Peak, so I just thought nobody was talking. It was really wierd blush.gif

I think you should be notified every now and then when you're deaf anyway. Say, every minute or so, something like "The world around you seems awfully quiet." or similarities...

It would be quite noticable if you normally hear bustling noise all around you and suddenly there's nada...

Ah well, let's get that deaf-alert for SAYs in first cheer.gif

Deafness really IS annoying. Especially when I get frustrated over no one responding to me. Luckily, I don't get all "URGH, WHY DON'T YOU PEOPLE RESPOND TO ME?! SERENWILDE SUCKS! DIE DIE DIE!" that would be embarrasing.

Please, put this in!

Unless I'm mistaken, deafness stops tells as well. That makes absolutely no sense to me. Aren't tells supposed to be some sort of telepathic communication? Anyways, fix it!

Just a side note, you all do a wonderful job with Lusty. Much better than the other IRE games I've played. Thanks!

Clan Aethers are still heard when deaf if I'm not mistaken...
Not sure about City Aethers...
Definetly Tells are not heard, but should be (Wyn stated why above this post)
And Says should at least show up as something similar to when someone's voice is drowned out by the wind.
"You see 's lips moving, but hear no sound coming from them."

That, I'd definetly like to see put in closedeyes.gif
