Make scholars worth 2 culture points apiece (putting them on par with spikes, feathers, pixies, and supplicants).

The real thing I would like to see, however, would be a "library log" for each org which would allow a Librarian aide to see what books were checked out, when they were returned, and most importantly would also list scholars that are brought in, so that it would be possible to do scholar-events without having somebody sitting in the library for 8+ hours in a row in order to run an 8-hour contest.

Scholars are something that the very young can do in order to help their org AND themselves, learn their way around a large portion of the Basin, and is something that should be encouraged, but it is VERY hard to track who is actually bringing the scholars in.

I've tried running a general vote, and even a small contest with a credit prize to find something appealing to everyone, and still no dice. I think I'm just going to pick one myself, so hmph.


And yes, I concur. While it is nice to see who has a book *out*, I really would enjoy a solid record of who's checked out what, and who's brought in however many scholars. They're more than just that little bit of culture, they're also power through that, and should be rewarded for being such!
