I wanted a bit of a change of pace, so I made a Krokani warrior alt to play around with. I decided to roleplay him as a simple goat rancher who refers to himself in the third person. Thull enlisted in the Ur’guard, banged around Newton for a while, and then was called into the office of his superior officer….

Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero smiles softly, and visibly relaxes his stance.
You say, "Thull reading books in ur'guard bookcase."
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "Relax, lad. You're not in trouble. But I do
wish to tell you a story about knowledge."
Karnagan nods his head emphatically.

Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "Ah, so you are learning.”
You tilt your head and listen intently to Karnagan.
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "Once, my people thought strength was the
only value- this was back in the days of the Soulless, when the Vernals were
raised almost every day."

He is a one-eyed krokani and a towering eight and a third cubits in height. This massive krokani is solidly built, from his barrel chest to his rock-like calves. Tough leathery skin, the deep gray of granite, stands in contrast to his thick dreadlocks, the color of dried blood. His dreadlocks, interwoven with white and green beads, snake from the back of his head to cover his shoulders, framing a chiseled, barbaric face with high cheekbones and a single thoughtful hazel eye. A well kept blood-red goatee sits on his craggy chin. Thull’s rough hands are the size of small boulders, and his sinewy biceps and forearms suggest a practiced familiarity with a variety of weapons and tools.

He is a menacing undead orclach and with a black skin tone. His overall build
is 7'0" and encased in a full suit of deep ebony armour. The size of the suit
is quite large, indicating the huge muscle mass of the young orclach warrior
underneath. His deltoids are massive, a clear sign of his strong orclach
heritage. His dark red eyes smolder from a scrubbed face, and the granite-grey
skin of his face bears calluses in the upper temples, while a nasty slash mark
extends from the area just under his left ear to the Adam's apple. He wears a
well-trimmed, thick goatee, which is pointed at the tip of his chin, but his
long black hair drapes over his shoulders, and is braided at the ends with
silver ties. His nose is smooth and unbroken, and he bears significant scars on
his hands, with a heavily scarred neck. The monstrously large hands flex with
great power, indicating that this orclach probably has a bone-crushing grip.
His armour emanates the power of the Void, and his boots gleam with
professional polish.

He is wearing a blackened suit of full plate armour, a
friendship ring of pure jade, a twisting ring of amethyst, a colossus scabbard,
a ring of thorns, a blackened full helm, a colossus scabbard, a light blue
coral ring, a ring of intertwined serpents, a friendship ring of pure jade, an
iron shackle bracelet, an iron shackle bracelet, a choker with a dangling
pentagram, and black leather lace-up boots.

Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "The orclach became warrior Gods- and were
quickly beaten to death by the powerful Soulless Ones."
You crease your brow in a frown.
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "But the greatest, Thull, realized his
deficiency in knowledge, and spent his whole life correcting it, until he was
one of the greatest magic-wielders in history."
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "That man was Urlach, father of the Orclach
people and the inspiration of our Guild."

Karnagan's mouth turns up as his face breaks into a smile.
You have emoted: Thull 's eye widens.
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "Even though Orclach are not known for their
powers, it is the ability to remedy our shortcomings that mark us from the
animals."
You say, "Thull---er....I not know I have same name sir as founder of Orclach
peoples."

You nod your head at Karnagan.
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "So. I expect you... hmmm, let's try
something simple, to start off with."

You tilt your head and listen intently to Karnagan.
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "This is our library."
You nod your head emphatically.
You say, "They charge 100 gold per book sir."
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "Here, books of knowledge can be used to

Karnagan nods his head emphatically.
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero smiles and says, "Aye, but I have much more than
100 gold."

You say, "Mmm. Thull notice there no Krokani in this book. Maybe Krokani wise
enough to read Magnagoran laws."
"Heh heh heh" you chuckle.

Growling in displeasure, a filthy gutter mutt leaves to the southwest.
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "Well, I assure you, race is no barrier to
stupidity."
You nod your head sagely.

Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "There are many books about krokani. Perhaps
you could find one. I suggest reading the books with two or three stars."
A filthy gutter mutt arrives from the southwest, sniffing about.
You say, "Thull would like to meet this author."

Karnagan nods his head emphatically.
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "Now... a quick question."
Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.
Rubbing his hands together, Karnagan grins with evil satisfaction.
You tilt your head and listen intently.
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "What was the lesson of the talkative
trill?"
"Heh heh heh" you chuckle.
You say, "Not go babble stories off to everyone in city. Keep tounge in mouth."
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "Correct. You notice that the first two
lessons revolved around improper speech? Why do you think the writer so
stressed this?"
You say, "Loose lips sink ships sir."

Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "It is because speech is EASY. Many, many
people speak improperly."
Reverberations of marching Death Knights bounce off the many buildings nearby.
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "And for this they should be punished!"
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "This is the fundamental truth. It is
ironic, even as a peasant you are smarter than to talk back to the Warlord. Yet
many learned people would do so, in their so-called wisdom!"
Karnagan utters a deep, rumbling laugh.

Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero smiles and says, "They shall pay their price. But
you, serve the Empire as a true soldier, and you shall know true power and
wisdom. As the children do."

You say, "Yessir. Thull be honoured. Amazed people disrespect warlord."
Karnagan nods his head emphatically.

You say, "Thull think people not appreciate connection between head and body
when disrespect Warlord."
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "No one sane does. But then, only through
vigilance can we make people fear their superiors, as it should be."
You nod your head sagely.
Karnagan nods his head at you.

Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero smiles and says, "Good, good."
Tactician Karnagan De'Unnero says, "I think you're learning."

So what did I learn?
1. Ur’guard roleplaying is alive and well. This was completely unexpected and kudos to Karnagan for taking the time.
2. Go read the book “Tales and Fables from Magnagora.” It is VERY funny.
3. A Krokani ur’guard with two weapons is incredible at bashing. I leveled so much more quickly than a guardian or mage.

1 and 3 are very, very true. Magnagora offers the best experience, RP and combat-wise.

2, that's new for me. Should read one day, if I get the chance...

Hmm, I really should try the Ur'Guard, but with 3 characters, I'm not sure I can. I really should drop one/two of them, but they all have qualities I want to explore.

Anyway, that was really interesting. Just wanted to say, you seem to have great RP skills

I had fun interacting with Thull That was interesting, and then the twin brothers, I think, was interesting too.

Most of Magnagora thought he was a Tully alt.

"Tales and Fables from Magnagora" is a cool book. I read it at the Lodestar Anthanaeum, short, sweet, and gets to the point, like the lucidian proselytizer getting promptly killed by outraged villagers .

Heh, I don't really have much time for alts, with my budgeted schedule. If I was going to do an alt, I'd probably want to try a different city this time, since I spent a lot of game time in Magnagora already.
