So I've been scouting around on the forums for a while and it's beginning to sound like resilience and magic would be good skillsets to invest some lessons in. Just for the sake of curiosity, I decide to take a look at what the lowest tier skills are.
Except this happens:
Same thing happened with magic.
For the sake of experimentation, I tried forgetting these skills and picking them up from my skillchoice list again, but that didn't change anything. I tried actually putting some lessons into resilience, got it up to novice, and it still said I knew nothing.
Glitch?

Resilience just adds on to your skill of tempering physical damage and regenerating endurance, and this gets better as your skill increases. Magic gives you a resistance to magic and also is boosted as your skill increases. There aren't any abilities for either skillset, so it'd be fairly pointless to have one that says the same thing as the help files on either.

There aren't any sub-skills in resilience and magic. They only provide you with passive bonuses, depending on their rank:
Resilience: physical resistance and chance to resist venoms. Might affect wounding, not sure.
Magic: magical resistance and resistance to mana drains (some).
They are useful when you have credits to put them in and already a lot of skills, because it gives you an edge in combat. But I wouldn't waste a single lesson on them until you're at least transcendent in 5-6 skills. Their bonuses are simply too small (10% resistance at Trans or something like that).

Ah, okay. Thanks for the swift replies.

It's probably a bad idea to put any lessons in resilience or magic unless you've already transed your guildskills and such.

Yeah, only reason I've put so much into resilience is that I need to make my 3.2k health stretch as long as I can. Stupid 10 con
