So I was wondering, Is it acceptable to post a bardic entry in this forum? As in not just submit it but also post the same work. If I had to chose Id chose to submit it on the forums for critical analysis but Id thought Id ask before hand

Yep. Plenty of people - myself included - post their Bardic entries on the forums prior to the contest's judging, either for review or just to showcase our 1337 skillz.

I think it is bad luck to post your story before it is judged

Same. People generally aren't rude and just say "Wow! This is great! " and you get your hopes up but then for some reason or other you don't get accepted. Plus the surprise when viewing the winners is fun too.

Feel free to post, but don't expect constructive criticism. Even when people won't be falsely nice (saying "wow, it's great" when it's not), their comments won't help you because art is subjective, and everyone's judgement varies. Unless we're talking about finding typos or errors, like calling Ladantine Ladarantino-san.
As an example, I criticised one of Guido's works and didn't expect it to win, but he didn't care about my crushing comments, submitted it and got a star anyway.
