This was a spar I recently had with Shaddai. Even though it ended in a draw, I still thought it was great fun and allowed me to get better acquainted with my various Aquamancy abilities. That sets their timers to COMPLETELY random times.

I guess timing isn't THAT important for an aqua, but it's CRUCIAL for a druid. Shorlen needs to have a talk about combat with Shaddai smile.gif

Effects hit every ten seconds. They have an initial offset based on your skill, 6 seconds at trans. So, to time two effects to hit at the same time, cast one effect, wait exactly ten seconds, cast the next one. Since balance recovery is about five seconds, cast ones that don't need to be timed in between ones that need to be timed.

Likewise, my timing for a druidic demesne, which is VERY effective, is as follows:

war = swarm, mist = sleepmist, life = treelife, spo = spores, pol = pollen, tho = thorns, sto = storm, squ = squirrels.

It means that first, they are in the trees and paralysed. Paralysis takes 1.5 seconds to cure at trans discipline (4.5 seconds at inept), so they are stuck in the trees for at least 1.5 seconds. Thorns, storm, and squirrels are all damage/bleeding skills, so you want them to hit together, but thorns only hits in the trees. So, they're timed to hit 1 second after treelife/swarm, when your target is stuck up there. Spores and pollen are afflicts, so they should hit at the same time. I have them hit at the same time as treelife and swarm just to add to the spam - not sure if that's the best time or not, but it seems to work quite well. If I'm casting Treebane, I cast it one second before Treelife hits, since you don't want it hitting at the same time as treelife or thorns, and it maximizes the time they're in the trees.

No. Regardless of your skill, your effects hit every ten seconds. So, if you cast them ten seconds apart, they hit at the same time. Some skills though, like healspring, deluge, and sweetfont, don't need to be timed, since they don't hit foes. That's why you cast them in between the effects you want to time to hit at once.

Nexus can understand certain stuff, like #wait 1000 would have the command wait for a second and then execute. For instance, if you were a newbie you could have a trigger set for GUILD STATUS whereas when you entered that Nexus would wait a minute (#wait 60000), and then have it display again, so every minute you would know how long you have in novicehood. Useless, I know.

So, I suppose I could use that to get all of my demesne effects. smile.gif
