Well, void is an affliction that appears to have been bugged since the skillset's release. Instead of giving the void affliction, curable by kombu , it gives regular stupidity.

I would suggest that instead, it give the void affliction which does the following:

- Until cured, occasionally blanks out an action like amnesia. (Which is what the AB file describes)
- If a psionicist is afflicted with void and doesn't cure it, any psionic balance they use takes twice as long to recharge.

Also, it would be very nice if it could be given in physical form - with the difference being that it would be an unmasked affliction (good idea Shorlen!).

This would be a nice compensation for psionicists having the most powerful anti-dreamweaving skill of any class.

No way on the psionicist thing. Six/twelve second recovery time? If you use superstratus you can go afk for a quick snack before you get balance back

Its not that much different to confusion, which would convert a 4 second balance to 8 seconds. If confusion doubles balances, anyway.

I'll point out that telepaths have a ridiculous advantage against dreamweavers right now - a ranged attack against dreambodies >_<

Mindblast isn't supposed to be ranged.

It's already coming down the pipe, AFAIK, where all mental afflictions are split between doubling channel balance or stopping their use all together.

At the moment, you can't be afflicted by void, hence the thread. (It appears to be bugged.)

If a dreamweaver uses the void ability on you, for now you actually receive regular stupidity without any warning or sign. Well... until you start burping and carrying on. It can only be used while a dreamweaver is in dreamform, which means they are phased like a ghost in the room.

So, if I get it right, Void is some evilly twisted Dreamweave-form of Stupidity?

Well then, I believe the answer to your question is probably that psionicists DO have an improved version of void.

Don't know for sure, but it's psionics. Pretty reasonable expectation.

Also, since this is a thread about Dreamweaving I think it would be cool if they added some creatures only able to be found in the Dreamrealm. Maybe regular Dreams and Nightmares could exist and kind of float about, and when you walk into a room people in the dreamrealm get some flavor text. As an aside has there been anything said about what the Dreamrealm actually is?

The dream critters have always been a cool idea. The dreamrealm is just where you go while you dream, but most people I'm guessing are only half-conscious when they're wandering through, and see only flashes and disjointed elements that form their dreams.

The dreamrealm is aether, of course. Everything is explained by aether.
