Thanks for finishing the Aethercraft skill

Just wanted to create a "thank you" thread for finishing this skill--since the other threads don't specifically discuss that.

I had a little fun with it the last few nights. I know Roark and others worked hard coding this, so I wanted to say thanks.

(I'm hoping people are using it. I haven't seen any ship-to-ship combat yet, or as much talk about it here as I would expect there to be).

No money = no aethercraft spec. It looks fun though. I hope those who can afford it are enjoying it. cheer.gif

I've seen quite a bit of excitement about it. It's just slow to test out because it can be hard to get a crew together, much less two crews ready to face off in the vastness of aetherspace.

Oddly enough, I could actually see myself enjoying a little PvP as a ship-to-ship thing rather than man-to-man. Still not planning to seek it out, but the inherently cooperative nature of it appeals to me.

I'd love to do some test battles with other ships. happy.gif

Hehehe, CREW? I wish I had a crew. Let alone some more modules.... dry.gif

Me too!

And thankyou, thankyou, thankyou so much, Roark and others.

I know I've been a pain over this for a long time, but it is so worth it! Now we just need a way to try the interactive uses of ship PK, and we can really have some fun!

You know what would be nice... A test server with tons of wide open aetherships...

Open for a week after the Year 2 celebrations.

This way everyone gets to "figure it out" just enough that people can know about the risks and what the investments are worth.

Yeah, that'd be great, just so long as every player on there gets to instantly transcend whichever specialisation they please, or all of them, otherwise there wouldn't be much point to those who haven't learnt any of it yet, as they may well not have enough credits hanging around to make it in a week.

Wow, look at this view:

Lurching through dimensional shifts.

As the dimensional walls between worlds thin, the aetheric currents here
continuously solidify and dissolve as competing realities assert themselves. The
aetherspace itself is cloudy and viscous, making aethership movement slow and
cumbersome. There is an aetherways dock here connected to the Portals of
Serenwilde.

That's with the artifact and farhorizon...
