i managed to save up for a pair of flails from Nut*something* shop in Serenwilde
however, i find that the amount of time i take to recover is really long
*saw another guy who is also at newton cave and he was using two rapiers? finished the gnome guard about way faster than i could finish mine.. told me his guild loaned him them.
is rapier really much better than flails for leveling?
btw, im a Loboshigaru in Serenguard..
when would I be able to start to specialize in totems? seems that moon totem would help me greatly but I'm guessing only after I reach level 21?
pondering over BM or BC and what skills to really train for besides Knighthood and Totems followed by Athletics? unable to log into the server from my camp as there's a rather 'heavy' firewall so quite hard to read up more besides from the forum..
*edit* sorry i guess i should have posted this in Survival Guide instead..

Yes, speed weapons (rapiers for BM, hammers for BC - also klangaxes for axelords and katanas for pureblades) are the best weapons for levelling. Precision does NOTHING in PvE, and damage offers an insignificant bonus (strength matters, but weapon's damage doesn't).
You can specialise when you reach the Master rank (it's after Adept) in a skill. You can't do it as a novice, so you have to graduate first.
Good non-guild skills to train:
-Planar
-Discipline - if you want to do PvP
-Combat (you can parry as a warrior already, but it affects stance effectiveness) - if you want to do PvP
-Discernment - for Potionlist, Thirdeye

thank you very much for the information
where am i able to buy those weapons? the shop doesnt seem to sell them
and i guess i'll have to do more weevils..
someone told me to buy a shovel and start digging all over the place for stuff, is that plausible?
what about getting herbs to sell for money?

If they asked you to dig, then you are most likely a Paladin.
And if you want to buy soemthing like rapiersjust look for spmeone who can make you them, S oin your case look for forger. Ask on GT CT and MARKET if you have acces to it.
And with digging its about getting sand for supplicants, CHELP SUPPLICANTS ingame should help you.
And Herbs is nice trade skill for earning gold.
Time spend on harvesting and waiting for customer = pure profit.
And i seek herbs very often so if you will find me in game asking for herbs let me know.
EDIT: Ok i honorsed you seems you are Serenguard, so i have no idea why they sked you to dig.
And you may not want to trade we are at war right now. but still herbs is nice trade skill.
And asking for forger should still help.

thank you very much for the information
1. where am i able to buy those weapons? the shop doesnt seem to sell them
2. and i guess i'll have to do more weevils..
3. someone told me to buy a shovel and start digging all over the place for stuff, is that plausible?
4. what about getting herbs to sell for money?
I numbered your questions to make answering easier.
1. Just ask your guild! There's a lot of forgers there - Harpuia, for example, is Transcendent. You have to provide commodities and they'll make it - ask for full metal designs (full metal because when you won't need the weapon, the forger can smelt it and you will get all the metals back, so with full metal designs you don't lose anything).
2. Weevils are not good money nor good experience. If you're still a novice (below level 21), the solution is Newton, Newton and more Newton. Well, not Newton, but rather doing quests in Lolliprin - even the pigs there give good gold (if sold to Shitake). I'm not even talking about the battleground or the crystals.
If you're above level 21, and want gold, do pilgrims (greet them and then say where you'll lead them), scholars (the same, but they want to go to other place), cows, sheep and maybe rockeaters (these three you either kill and sell bodies in villages, or give them hay and lead to villages - well, you can only kill rockeaters. Cows go to the dairy or the butcher, sheep go to a clothing mill or the butcher, rockeaters to the jeweller).
This all will give you MUCH better gold than lousy weevils.
3. That someone was an idiot. Serenguard (if they choose totems, which I guess you did) don't need shovels - SPIRITBOND GROUNDHOG and you can dig all you want. And you won't find anything valuable underground - unless we're talking about Celest's power quest, which you shouldn't do, because Celest and Serenwilde are at war.
4. Takes a lot of time and you're not 100% sure to find customers. Also make sure not to pick too much herbs. Don't expect to earn a fortune on herbs - I'd pass on this, pilgrims/scholars give more gold.

Heh you mean ask Arundor for forging right? Harpuia's been transcendant Poisonist for at least as long as I've been playing Lusternia.
Oh and Vance, did somebody really tell you to dig to get stuff?

Yeah, I meant Arundor.
Not visiting the Serenguard for 2 months and I'm already mistaking people for each other... damn.
EDIT: Very long edit. Another nice gold source - chickens. Pick them up (in villages), give to someone in a chicken coop. 80 gold each for 15-20 seconds of work. 3-5 chicken per village. Not the best money around, but it's done rarely and it's still better than weevils. Gives some experience too.
