Maybe give undersecretaries the ability to speak over 'newbie', so those who aren't mentors can still help out without taking it to tells? closedeyes.gif

I thought everyone under lvl 20 or over 50 or so hours played could talk on newbie? Not just mentors..? With how I leveled up I don't think there was ever a time I couldn't talk on newbie. blink.gif

Once you have reached level 50 and have played for at least 300 hours, you may take on proteges. The file HELP FORMENTORS will tell you more.

I think you have to be a mentor to be able to turn newbie back on, but either way, it's over 50.

Ah, thanks! Clears up much confusion for me. happy.gif

Yeah; only mentors, guides, and newbies can speak over it. I'm level 59 but don't have access.

I could have sworn I was talking on newbie -way- before I became a mentor. (I've only officially mentored two or three people, I don't like the whole preasure to not mention credits. I mean it's not like I would, but I can just see me mentioning something in passing accidentally and then a dozen admin step out from hiding and shrubbing Zenji. I just like helping anyone) Hrm.. so anyway, I thought it wasn't based on being a mentor, but it's been so long I could be wrong.

You can turn it on and listen to it, just can't talk on it
