Is it true??

Let's say you do this... then you have to kill several thousand more for Demigod essence.

If 1 blackrat takes 30 seconds to kill, you'd be spending 130 days of continuous ratting. And even then blackrats only appear in small numbers.

It would be a lot more than 375,000 black rats.. since I think it took like 300 astral creatures, pre-insanity boost, for 1% at 99...

takes me about 25 astral linked creatures per % with autumn and harmony up at level 98.

Huh. I thought Niara had said it took her 300 at 99 back before Astral was upgraded. But I could be totally wrong.. which now seems likely Ignore me.

Is that why people sit at 99 for so long?

Or is it just that they choose not to go onto to Demigod for things like the Pheonix rez thing?

Black rats take 30 seconds to kill? They take about 5 seconds for an aquamancer...or am I confused?

Most choose not to go on to demi because of phoenix.

And becose getting 100th level is hard.
It was 100 linked creatures for me as human with harmony to get 1% on level 99.

So this 275k rats maybe would be ok to reach level 99 but not 100.

umm, for rats/weevils, it's really not worth it to level on after level 50 or so. I was a little low con elfen (and this was before I splurged to get trans moon or greatrobes or anything), so I was very careful hunting after I tried a rockeater for the first time and it crushed me. Even for me, after around level 50, it took one or two dozen just to get 1%, and I was ready to move onto other things.

It takes around 10 gorgogs or a dozen influenced guards for me to notice an increase now, how many rats equal a gorgog? 300 3,000?

So ya, no sane person would rat from 1-100, 1-50 sure, 1-80… possibly, past that and your asking for psychosis.

Im tempted to create alt just for ratting bashing, and be rat king or something

The number is something that Hajamin said once in response to something I said. I know that on average from all different types of rats, its more like a couple of million rats to do 1 to 100. On achaea level 21 to 80 was just about 40K rats for me. At the moment .1% is about 15-20 rats depending on what they are.

No, you're not confused, but it takes forever for rats to spawn sometimes.

It would take more than 375k, much more. As aforementioned, that's about the dumbest hunting idea ever.

Best for that would be a human mage, I think. Blast can take any rat, except maybe black, in one hit.

Blast kills any rat, unless maybe you're a krokani mage or something.
