Since Estarra said in another thread she likes short and sweet, here we go:
+ Shrine powers should last no more than 10-15 minutes. Otherwise they should cost drastically more essence. Wrath, for example, is BETTER than Worldburn ever was because it hits an entire local area (whereas you could just walk outside the radius of Worldburn) and lasts 50 minutes longer.
Events like Wild Nodes, Raiding, etc. are dominated anymore by shrines. I doubt this was the intent.
+ It should be impossible to sanctify shrines across different areas.

I have to agree and disagree at the same time.
Wrath Vs. Worldburn for instance, it was either, you insta-die, or you're out of the way and safe, and a few minutes later it didn't matter either way.
With how raiding works with people camping for long periods of time in illusionary manses or manse/ships defensive forces need powers to be long-lasting.
I read through the serenwilde logs a few days ago, Yini had to use a discretionary power three times in a row, the raid lasted for at least 3 hours as people slowly picked off champions. Long term(read 1 hour) defensive powers that while they help do not insta-kill enemies are useful, but only useful if they last as they do.
We're in a new Lusternia folks, this isn't 2 years ago when a group of three lvl 50 tri-trans people would raid an organization, we've now got 1-2 dozen mostly omni-trans lvl 80+ people raiding for hours on end, and the powers need to reflect that, I think they do, and they do it well, and they shouldn't be changed.

I could easily tank worldburn long enough to get out of the radius. Point being, if they are going to remain at the strenght they are at they should cost
~400k essence per. As is, the cost does not reflect the power.

Wrath should honestly be doing 10x more damage than that (I'm serious when I mean 10x too). I literally regen the damage it deals. In fact, I regen about 2x what it deals. It also tics randomly. It would hit me like twice in a row and then didn't hit me again for 20 seconds.
This is just outright worthless. It also costs like 150,00 essence (worldburn was 100k) and requires a war shrine with ~10 rooms sanctified (according to Nico). If anything, it should be -better- not worse than worldburn. In fact, I don't see why it just isn't made to do worldburn damage to health/mana/ego at once given its insane essence cost.

My point is with the new powers you don't have to 'get out of the radius'. Do they help out the defending team a heck of a lot, yes, do they kill people for you, no, and so they last longer and cost less than you think they should.
Most raids should be about a specific objective, if wrath(or other effects) for 1 hour pisses of raiders who like to camp in hostile territory... well then maybe they were never ment to camp there in the first place?
If you're about to now say that is "to powerful", well you can always mass defile beforehand.
Edit:Ah, let me clarify something though, I am not fully versed in why people would sanctify over multiple areas. If the reason is so that you can wrath in oleanvir while the shrine 'ends' are in celest at guards, then I'd be for a change that made it so you couldn't sanc outside the home area the shrine is in, but that honestly doesn't have anything to do with the other issue being talked about.

I'm curious at to whether you are intentionally misleading or this was a fluke. As I've told many people, quoting something months ago isn't very accurate most of the time as given Lusternia is a dynamic environment, abilities CHANGE.
+ Does wrath now hit -far- faster than every 20 seconds? Yes.
+ Did Lisaera repost at a later date that shrines were meant to hit local area (a new change over the old shrine system and not in a small radius)? Yes.
+ Did wrath cost 150k essence but now costs 100k essence? Yes.
+ Did wrath, pre-Sior upgrade, do more damage after that post? Yes.

When wrath hit for ~200 damage every 20 seconds, it was worthless. It has -however- changed since April 23rd. Go figure -5- months later, what I said initially doesn't hold true.

Wrath speed was not changed, it still tics randomly, which was in fact one of your points when claiming it worthless in the past.
+ Did Lisaera repost at a later date that shrines were meant to hit local area (a new change over the old shrine system and not in a small radius)? Yes.
Wrath was not a shrine power pre-shrine changes, so this point is pointless.
+ Did wrath cost 150k essence but now costs 100k essence? Yes.
Wrath's cost has never changed. Your information is wrong. If it was insane essence cost then. it is no different now.
+ Did wrath, pre-Sior upgrade, do more damage after that post? Yes.
Does wrath do as you suggested 10x more damage? No.
+ Did Sior upgrade the damage even more? Yes.
Wrath was only upgraded once, by Sior when the shrine powers and Order bugs were fixed.

In sum, Wrath was upgraded, but not by as much as you wanted. Its length of time is the same now as it was then, so if it was not an issue then, despite its "insane essence cost" I fail to see how it is an issue now. Wrath as you put it then, should be better than worldburn, you say it is better than worldburn now. It seems to me you got what you asked for.
The only point you made was that it lasts for to long a period of time, the same exact amount of time it ran when you previously stated it should be far better. It is now better and the only change made was to increase the damage of it, which is exactly what you asked for, and now it needs 4 times the essence cost? If that is the case I will just have my order beseech me to zap people at that cost.

As I said, that was working on the assumption at the time that Wrath worked on a small radius than a local area. It was confusing at first and Lisaera even made a special post to clarify it was local area. Furthermore, the speed may not have changed but as Estarra agreed in the Liveforest thread, there is a great deal of randomness to when it hits (I'm assuming it works on the same mechanism, which it appears it does). When I first tested Wrath, it was on the assumption it worked on a fixed timer, which in that case was 20 seconds per blast - which isn't how it is.
And yes, Wrath should be better than Worldburn if it is going to cost more and function in the same small radius - which it doesn't so I didn't get what I asked for.

I agree with your first post (though I disagree that wrath is better than worldburn, but whatever).
