Fiddle is not an insturement. It is a style of bowing, and playing done to a violin or viola. Most fiddlers choose a viola that has a fifth string to give them a slightly larger range, but that does not make it a fiddle...

I forgot to add an option for unfretted plucked instruments, like a Spanish guitarrón.

I'd love to see hammered dulcimers. They kick ass.

If I became a Bard, mandolin, already designed a nifty looking one (that people seem to love, it's selling very nicely.) But if a new item could be put in, I'd want a banjo or harp (since Bards are only allowed to use string instruments).

I believe for more instruments, the artisan trademasters just have to send a brief petition to the Charites for one. It's how we get new patterns for other trades added, and instruments are instruments. As long as they are string instruments, I don't see why they wouldn't be accepted.

I'm going with a lyre for right now.. but I'd love pianos or guitars..
