Okay there are a couple of locks like slitthroat + slickness, how does one cure them since I can't apply or eat. mellow.gif

You could invoke green in Lowmagic, I don't know if there is an equivalent in Highmagic. It randomly cures a few afflictions.

I heard at some point that Magnagorans are against Healing (and don't have it as an option), otherwise I'd say to look for a friendly Healer if there's not a critical short time limit. Still an option for others though. hide.gif

There is one for Highmagic.

Hmm what was it name?
Gedulah i think.
Ixion2006-10-03 13:44:01
Gedulah, yes. Moon-->Full is much nicer for the serens though smile.gif

Most guilds have other skills which bypass most locks in general (trueheal, hunger, full, etc)

Focus mind and allheale are usually sufficient for many so called "locks."
Unknown2006-10-03 13:58:05
does focus mind cure slickness or slit throat?

can you drink allheale with slit throat? huh.gif
Ixion2006-10-03 14:25:03
No and no. I typo'd. Many, not any locks. Slitlock requires a power feat to cure.
Ashteru2006-10-03 14:35:26
You can use syphon as long as you aren't blind, Lightzout.

Yeah, forgot about that doh.gif

It's really annoying how you can't target yourself for skills if you're blind. Seriously, I know where my own body is.
Malarious2006-10-03 19:22:36
Wow... cant believe you asked.. but here is the list I know of

1) The Highmagic skill either Gedulah or Hod.. Hod takes power I know but can cure your conciousness of 'negative thoughts'

2) As a Nihilist.. you will get syphon.. cures a random ailment prevent locks unless you are off equil and CANT get it back.

3) Princess in tarot... not sure the limits on her.. 5 power but she cures several afflictions and gives back some health mana and ego

Tell me if that helps. Have fun

Well, in syphon, you have the demon sucking blood out of your wrist. Imagine all the things he could hit. ninja.gif
Malarious2006-10-03 19:40:58
To add on from my past post.. yes Gedulah.. 3 power cures 2 random ailments. insta break if you arent being overpinned

You're the one who is blind, not the demon. I don't think he's gonna overshoot your wrist and hit... other things. tongue.gif

Next you'll be expecting to be able to figure out how to pour liquids from vial to vial!
Shamarah2006-10-03 23:56:53
Focus mind will get you out of a "traditional" anorexia/asthma/slickness lock.

Of course, the only way you'll actually get that lock is if you're being teamed, since no class is able to give out all three of those afflictions.
Ixion2006-10-03 23:58:46
Any charybdon user can, but the rarity of that is of astronomical proportions.
Unknown2006-10-04 00:10:38
I thought Astrology could give out all 3 of those? Or is it missing Slickness? Though, venom on an athame could fix that.
Shamarah2006-10-04 01:20:51
Astrology might be able to at extremely rare times, but it depends so much on the stars and signs and crap that I don't understand that it's silly to count it as being able to.

And I would LAUGH at non-warriors using envenomed weapons (apart from telekinetic daggers). That's just utterly stupid.

Charybon also can't give anorexia.
Unknown2006-10-04 01:23:48
It used to be pretty common to see, back in the daaay.

Hell, druid cudgels used to even be able to transfer cudgels on rare occasions when pointed. Its too bad that was changed.
