We have a set of 51/50 robes and a 31/17 vest. With the vest on, 184 damage was done to my chest by Sword A. With the vest off, 160 was done by Sword A.
So the myth of vests and robes being usable at the same time is confirmed, but whatever armor is "on top" is the one that is counted for damage reduction.
Hey, it was a myth to me.

Damage through swords isn't always the same like it is with magic. You'll need to do several tests to find out an average. Damage through kicks may be constant though. Hm...

Okay, I suppose I shall do further testing. I'll get on it ASAP.
EDIT: Got it.

Not true.
If same person will attack same person with same waepons and same manuver in same body part then damage and wounds will be same everytime.

Correct, warrior variable damage was replaced with a constant formula a long time ago.

Leather armour set is 4 parts.
Skullcap (head)
Vest (chest and gut)
Bracers (arms)
Legings (legs)

I'm rethinking my opinion of leather.
It's actually damn good (if you forge enough to get good stats) for the price - I've managed leather in the realms of 49/60 (leggings, for those interested) before, so in some cases, it can outperform greatrobes.

Leatehr armour is awasome in quality/price comparision.
Full set can be bough for 500-1k And its with decent profit for forger.

Do all attack skills for all guilds do constant damage if repeated under the same conditions? Also, I seem to recall a statement that resistances and protection only apply to a random fraction of damage inflicted from a source. So if I have those 49/60 leggings and get hit in the legs with a hammer, 30% of some part of the blunt damage is stopped, and not 30% of all blunt damage. Is this right?
Anarias2006-10-24 16:25:47
There should be two parts to damage. One half is unblockable, the other half is what the armour reduces.

Yea all damage attacks done under same conditions do same damage.
And if attack is 100% blunt damage then leggings will with 60 blund defense will lower damage taked by you by 30%. But this 30% isnt part of damage, just 40/60 stats on armour dosent meant its 40% / 60% reduction. Its 20% and 30% and a bit more for wounds.
But if attack does only 50% blunt damage then only this 50% will be reduced. Other 50% may be lets say fir then fire resistances will reduce other half.

I neevr heard about unblockable damage from warriors. thunderclap had part of unblockable damage i think, but not warriors, even damage from elemental rune isnt something that cant be lowered.

It wouldn't be something specific to warriors but rather a characteristic of all damage taken from anyone or anything.

All damage done by people can be lowered by resistances/armours. Maybe those skills at trans for mancy druidry could have part od damage unblockable but from that i dont think any attack have unblockable damage.
SO if you could get 100% resistance on something you could be immune for that damage type.
I was able to get 66% resistance for fire at one point. (Splendor + fire res, frost potion, elemental shield, biofeedback on fire, spiritshield and something else i tihnk) Notice that all alone those resistances would give me 100% but more resistances i had, smaller their protection was.
It was funny to watch as imerian merian blast did below 200 damage to me.

You're right. However the damage should be of two kinds. One half of the damage will always go through and one part will be reduced by defenses, armour, etc. If you were to get 100% resistance I'd bet you'd still take some damage.

If so, then AB files should tell that some part of damage done by such and such skill is unblockable.

As a Seren, you should know better than everyone that more than 50% of damage can be prevented. Moondancer vs. magic, anyone?
Anyways, any random damage still noted against warriors is because of varying stats on different armor pieces.

Eh, we're still not talking about the same thing. I'd dig up the information but its just not important. I'll stop nitpicking.

Some skills have % unblockable as part of their makeup, don't they? Malestorm, or boulderblast or Fury? Isn't that sort of what you're talking about?
