I just got a scanner, so Im finally able to upload some of my work. This also means I may actually get to finish it now. A couple people might remember I was looking for the descriptions of Maeve earlier, well, heres what I have finished. I have a few more Im working on as well.
And I know Im not the greatest, but I feel really proud of what Ive got so far.

Pretty cool so far. Are you going for the Moon Vs. Night contrast in Maeve with the back to back heads?
Diamondais2006-10-12 23:19:51
Yeah, and the space between the heads is going to have a silver and darkened silver design in it. Dark Maeve (unfinished head) will be surounded by darkness and small pinpoints of light (stars). Moon Maeve will be surounded by a slight aura of white and silver and that by darkness with a full Moon.
See why Im so proud of it?

Not bad Dy! Just a tip with position human/elf ears, if you draw horozontal lines from the middle of the eye and tip of the nose, that's where the ear should be placed on the side of the head. I just noticed that the ear's placed a bit high . But I like it, I think its cool!

That's really good! The eyes are great, IMHO. They have just the right amount of expression on them.

Thanks for the tip! I have a problem with getting ears right, and its actually the first time Ive taken the initiative to do them right. Hopefully Ill be able to get it now.
And Ive started working on DeviantART, just to store my drawings incase I lose the hard copy and whats on my computer. So, if I post again with pieces Ill just supply a link.

All of my hair does that..individual strands. Cant do clumps unless Im actually going for a basic style, like in my Studio right now.

I can't wait to see it when it's finished.
Diamondais2006-10-16 03:58:28
Its almost finished, so Ive a question. What would be the best way to send it? JPEG right? Or is there something better, and does the program matter? If anyone can answer, Id be grateful!

I personally like using infranview, since it converts potentially huge images into really small. Thesmall size of the file means a much quicker upload.
Reiha2006-10-16 06:44:11
JPEG most people can view, GIF looks ultra crappy for color. I like PNG and TIFF, but not everyone seems to be able to view it.
Unknown2006-10-16 06:47:58
JPEG can make for bad colour loss. Just look at Verithrax's artisanal.
Diamondais2006-10-17 02:05:12
Hm...Im not that computer savvy. I honestly dont know what infraview is or what most people can or cannot see.

Infranview's just a freeware program that you could dowload from a google search. Turns a 40MG photoshop pic into a 43kb size pic

Yeah jpeg format compresses pixels together, thus creating odd colors, and heavy generation losses. Its the format I use for submitting artisanal entries though because I can compress it to a very small size. I put the hi-res tiff files on devart.
Which reminds me... Im gonna hunt dia on devart now.
