Quick question for bards in the know: Does dodging work while wearing robes, or is it exclusive for leather?
Can trans bard tailors please get an alternative to splendor robes that works with dodging, if not? Please? Even if it's not as tanky as splendor.
Because otherwise I'd probably switch to artisan or just toss away my trade skill and put the lessons into guild skills...

Dodging works while wearing robes, doesn't work at all versus mobs.

Wootageness. Now all I need is a splendour pattern that doesn't look stuffy and wizardly...

Is the above quote a complete lie? It's fine if it is, that means more sales of greatrobes for me, but I was under the impression that bards could ONLY wear leather if they wanted to use any of their acrobatics skills, and that acrobatics made up for their lack of plate/mail/greatrobes...

Druids are only supposed to wear leather as well. Greatrobes are considered 'lighter' than leather, because its clothing.
I personally think bards shouldn't be able to wear Greatrobes.

That would only work if we could dodge mob attacks too, which we don't. If we couldn't wear robes, we'd have to dodge significantly more to make up for it, too.
Bards can wear robes. I don't really think there's good reason for them to wear leather only. I realise that forging armour needs to be rehabilitated a little, but leather isn't the place to start.

I just thought that bards could use greatrobes at the cost of losing their acrobatics skills, but acrobatics didn't work against mobs, so they would use greatrobes for fighting mobs and acrobatics for fighting people, and I had thought that was a really cool way of doing it. Ah well
