I'm a novice aquamancer at the moment, but I'm having my doubts I picked the right city/class. New celest and my guild are great, but I think I might perhaps prefer something more dark and evil. So I'm wondering what would be the best, create a new character to see if I like it there better, or join with my current one. If I were to go to magnagora, I'm having doubts between being a geomancer or nihilist. Both sound kinda cool, geo have their illusions, but nihilists have general nice skills as well. Need some input here unsure.gif

Also, small sidequestion, from illusions I'd really miss reflections and invisibility, are there viable replacements if I'd choose a nihilist?

Invisibility is the same as Yesod in Highmagic (25 lessons in), which would still be available to you. Nihilists have Timeslip, which is like reflections, except against players. No, they have no equivilent bashing skill to reflections, but they do have an active healing skill, which is always nice.

Right now, people are complaining that Aquas and Celestines are OP compared to Geos and Nihilists...so I say stay, or join Celestines. If you wanna be be mean, volunteer for raids later down the roads and hailstorm people to death pureevil.gif. Or create an alt. By the way, what race are you?

unless you have lots of credits/time invested in a char, no reason not to make a new char.

Decided to make a new character because I don't want to drag along the concept of having swapped cities and a few other reasons. I guess one will become my main eventually, or I'll keep both played.

OP meaning? To answer your question, both characters are humans. Might do a reincarnation, but everyone seems to be viscanti in mag and celect has a ton of merians, so I feel quite unique with human blink.gif

I like the idea though of playing a bit of a zealot, but my impressions from new celest was that people are really honestly friendly (felt a bit oocly too) and quite found of peace. Perhaps I've just missed the right people. I'll keep playing both characters and see how things turn out ^^

OP meaning overpowered. Check out some other boards where Mags extol the OP of Sacraments, or Nihilists droll on about the impossibility of their prone-shackled-whatever-it-is instakill. happy.gif

As for quite fond of peace... there's roughly two divisions to Celest. The raiders and the non-raiders. If you think Celest is quite fond of peace, then you've only seen half the city. The rest of us raiders were probably out somewhere! But seriously, a good half of the city is actively raiding and such. Just recently we took down the Necromante by a good long spat of slaying demon lords. Definitely not peaceful there.

But who knows, Mag needs to build their playerbase so if you like it over there, then have at. Lots of interesting characters over there.
