I recently started to play my Lusternian character again and I was curious, what are some good class/race combos for someone in Glomdoring? Right now, I am a Loboshigaru and I was thinking of making a switch over to Ebonguard.

I used to be a Lobo Ebonguard. The health regen is nice, but all-in-all I would be a human, or a higher strength race. The bonuses of the Human are very good, but you'll eventually want high strength, or just stick with the Lobo.

What types of bonuses do Humans get? It would probably be a while before I was able to benifit from those, I'm only at circle 23 for the moment.

Taken directly from In-Game:
"ADVANTAGES:
o Gain experience more quickly, level 2.
o Evolution: Starting at level 50, humans will gradually find their
statistics increasing as they go up in level. The statistics gained
depend upon their archetype. Losing levels will also lose these
increases in statistics."
+1 stat every five levels after 50? That's pretty good, if I might say so myself.

It is.

Faelings are fantastic for Ebonguard.
Simimi2006-10-21 01:47:10
Unrelated but are you Zhaneel as in Zhaneel the falcon breed Gryphon created by Urtho, before he dies at the hands of that traitor punk, in The Black Gryphon, by Mercedes Lackey?

If you are, I am SO making a Skandranon so we can RP together

That's not bad at all, what are good race combinations for Blacktalon and Shadowdancers if you know any? I am looking for something that will allow me to be decent at player vs. player but not as a main focus, I probably will be spending my days gaining circles of experiance. And since most options are open to me, except for tons of credits (I will be earning my credits in game or through the artisanals) or leaving Glomdoring (Glomdoring has been the best in game exeriance for me so far).

Yes, that's where I got that name from. I love that book.

I agree. Their speed make them excellent with rapiers, and Glomdoring seems to favor faelings since there are so many!

Pretty much this is how it is:
- Humans are workable for every class
- +equibilrium works for wiccans/gaurdians well.
- +balance races work for warrior classes.
- Specilized races are useally nice.(spec'ed faelings in glomdoring are amazing IMHO)

Faelings get a bonus in Glomdoring, so they're good for anything. Mugwumps are also quite good for the non-warrior archtypes, as are Elfen.
To return to warriors, I'd actually recomend either staying Loboshigaru or going Human for the exp bonus, if only because I don't see enough Loboshigaru in the realms
Narses2006-10-21 09:25:33
Shadowlord faelings are simply scary
Zhaneel2006-10-21 15:40:47
Bah, I am having a terrible time trying to decide now. They all seem interesting to a point. Thank you all for your help though.
Ekard2006-10-22 10:29:51
Start with Loboshi and switch for faeling when you get strength and surge in athletics and geburah/yellow in high/lowmagic.
hmm..
Shadowlord Faeling Titan would be so scary!

You all -know- this means Kaervas is going Ebonguard soon.
Nayl2006-10-23 01:18:53
APologies for Doublepost, but aren't you forgetting Loboshigaru's High Dex? Flex itself can put up to 16 Strength. Which is more than enough if you go for wounding, rather than Damage, especially considering the extra 20% wounding for goign two-hander.

Demigods don't have races .
Nayl2006-10-23 06:00:03
Not as you can see, no, but their statistics, and 'latent' advantages are given by their 'mortal' race. So
