I'm in need of help with the affliction/unaffliction lines for the following (Yes I have referred to the pinups, but the horrible things with them is that no one grouped them into which is what and so being new to the combat on this IRE mud I have no idea what is what):

Generosity
Pacified *
Narcolepsy *
Daydreaming *


*I am having being led in circles on where to find a dreamweaver for demonstration, so I am asking here if anyone is generous enough to share.

The affliction lines for motes are all the same.

"A sudden shiver shoots up your spine, making you involuntarily jerk as a creeping sensation crawls over your skin."

Narcolepsy affliction:
"narcoleptic." (DIAG)
"You feel just as tired as before." (when trying to raise kafe defence)
"You feel incredibly tired, and fall asleep immediately."

Narcolepsy cure:
"You shrug off your narcoleptic tendencies."

Daydreaming affliction:
"plagued by childish daydreams." (DIAG)


Daydreaming cure:
"Your mind quickly focuses on the real world, shrugging off childish daydreams."

Pacified affliction:
"pacified." (DIAG)
"You are feeling far too passive to do that."

Pacified cure:
"The unnatural feeling of peace leaves you."
"You are capable of offensive acts once more." (not sure why I have this second one)

Peace and pacifism are different afflictions. That's why you have two unafflict lines. The one you have on diag here is peace. Pacifism shows as "feeling unnaturally tranquil."

I'd rather not have to diagnose unless illusions are being thrown at me by someone like Revan. Otherwise i'm just wasting precious time I could be using to throw down an offensive attack. So, initial affliction notification messages would be alot more appreciated than diagnose messages.

I gave you the initial message for narcolepsy, pacification, and daydreaming.

It's also the initial message for defense stripping, delayed illusions, blackout, and epilepsy.

We can strip defences? Must get more credits to trans dreamweaving now. Passive defense stripping in demesne is always a good thing.

And how do the hallucination illusions work? I hear it's a random delay, and that extra characters were either being added to it or removed from it depending on whether it was embedded or not. Has that problem been fixed now?

I think the adding and removing of characters has been fixed. Shorlen was using them on me and they were firing properly.

So were mine, but that was because they all had abcde in front of them.

Hallucination motes were completely fixed in the last envoy mini-report, which also upgraded them to be useful. No, you can't tell when the illusion actually fires, so don't use illusions with it that require timing. Use ones that are useful to fire off completely randomly.

In other words, yes, you can embed them usefully now, and no, you do not have to add extra characters anymore when dreamcasting them.

Now I can have fun with sleeping people.
