hi everyone, i'm new to Lusternia.
so yeah, this another annoying newbie post - hope you don't mind. i was wondering if i could get a suggestion for what client to use. i don't have much money right now, so something free would be preferrable. i've heard mushclient and mm2k are popular choices. could someone be so kind as to run through the dis/advantages of each for me?
thanks in advance, i really appreciate it. look forward to seeing you ingame!

I think Mush would be the way to go. Its not nearly as easy to script as Zmud is but its still good.

Just for the record, MUSHclient is not free software. It is shareware, and you are strongly encouraged to buy it if you continue to use it.

Using MUSHclient since I have no option to pay for a client. If I had I'd probably spend it on zMUD.

Zmud is what I prefer.

Thank you for the feedback, I just have a couple more questions
First off, I thought that Zmud isn't free, so that wouldn't really help me too much. Someone please correct me if I am wrong about that though.
Second, If both MUSH and Zmud aren't free then is the only good free choice mm2k?

MUSH you *can* use free is what I think they're saying.

MUSHclient has a nag screen, but it does not have any enforced trial period or crippled features. It is not free software and you should not be using it indefinitely without paying for it. Nick only has a few people each month buying the client, which doesn't give him much incentive at all to keep working on the software.
MM2k is the only semi-GUI freeware client for Windows that I'm aware of. You could use a more script-oriented client, of course, such as TinTin++ or WinTin or LynTin (anything that's got 'Tin' in the name). They're just harder to learn and use.
