So I heard a rumor today that this sunday Toys R Us is selling a new set of Wii pre-orders? Anyone know how this works? Its the first time I have ever been interested in buying a console, so I don't know how this nomrally works.

Go to the store. Pretty much any console store, I'm sure. Walk up to the cashier in that department and say "Wii preorder please!" You then make a partial down payment and wait for a phone call.

However, I ordered mine at Game Crazy a week or two ago. One of the employees there called me as soon as she found out. I've always said it's good to know your video game supplier people well!

I went to three stores a few weeks ago... they said "sorry, our pre-orders are sold out" ANd that was the day of...

I think they were doing two rounds of preorders, and not all stores may be participating. Some chains don't know how many units they're getting, so it's difficult to get a good estimate. However, the word is they hope to ship four million units (compared to the PS3's retarded 400,000 units).

So I drove past my local Toys R us tonight at around 10PM and over 30 people were in line... Guess I'll have to wait till the day it actually comes out.

All I had to do was put it together, I am not at home rihgt now so I haven't tried to connect it to the net(although I have no clue in hell how to). On that note a question, do you have to turn off the remote or anything? I mean it does the blue lights flashing when I push a button but the console is turned off. I don't wanna waste the batteries . What is it updating anyways?

Only games worth downloading on console are the 64 ones. Everything else you can get a rom for. I have a router with wireless capabilities(my PC modem isn't) so do I have to do anything special to get it working, I've never screwed with WiFi junk before. Thanks.
