As much as I dislike people coming to the forums asking for character direction, I'm going to do the same.
I feel as though I'm in a lull with Laneth. I don't find it exciting to log in with him anymore. The histories he/I am writing are on a bit of a backburner - partly because I've got a lot going on and partly because I've had little to no in character interest in the matter (excepting Skyla's corrections, Laysus' affirmation that the guild would fund the project, and I think contact from Tsuki saying she would proof it ) - and that was pretty much the only project I had going for him. Learning to fight would be nifty, but I don't think I have the time to devote to the coding needed.
Aside from all that, I made a huge mistake in making Laneth fairly insular and solitary. He basically has no friends who he can log in and just chat with. There was someone at one point, but we're in different timezones and it was just too difficult to sustain, which was a pity.
I'm not sure what to do. I could try sticking with the Moondancer and making some changes to get the spark going again, but what? I definatly need a social circle in character, this loner business isn't working for me.
I could guild hop to another Seren build, but I'm a little bored with Serenwilde at the moment too. It's just not doing it for me, though that could be my own clouded view of things causing that, I don't know.
Argh, blergh, help me. Leaving the Moondancers would be a real shame, Laneth is one of the few fairly original members still around. Give me exciting ideas!

The Serenwilde isn't terribly interesting right now. If you want to not be bored, switch to Mag or Celest, I'd say. If you want to just idly roleplay, switch to Glom.

Well, you could stop the whole insular and solitary thing. Things are always more fun if you've got folks you can hang out and chat with or go places and do things with.
I don't know what sorta character Laneth is, but does he get involved in community activities? Fun group events?
Does he hold an office in the guild or city? Does he follow a particular God?
Do you work with novices a lot? They're fun!
You could hold impromptu rituals to the moon spirit. You could go crazy due to some traumatic event. Being crazy sounds like a lot of fun to play. Maybe someday in the future, I'll have Noola go crazy.
What sorts of things do you LIKE doing?

I'm about to sleep so I won't answer everything, but he's a Wisdom of the Moon (Secretary, in the Mother Conclave working to be exact) and he is a follower of Charune, though never got around to engrossing himself in that.
I'll answer more tomorrow. Sleep time.

Alrighty, well, I don't know what the Mother Conclave does, but being a secretary should give you lots of fun opportunities to interact with people and do things for your guild.
And becoming more active in your Order is always a good way to have fun and be involved. From things posted here on the forums, Charune seems like a fun Divine to work with.

Go for a leadership position, or organize activities and projects as a secretary. Even if you don't have a social circle, you'll meet a lot of interesting people that way.

Do what all the cool kids are doing... Pick a trade skill that takes a long time to do stuf with (like forging) and find a way to make insane things( like forging) with the illusion of being able to make insane gold (like forging)
p.s. Ash is now a cool kid.

I don't know Laneth well, but I've found that taking up a trade skill and starting to hoard gold like Dagobert Duck can be interesting. (Wish I had any right now though)
Also, you can chat with me!
