Quite simply.. I ran through three bromide vials trying to get amnesty from him.. that is well over 100 times I 'attacked' him with that amnesty skill. I'm trans influence (not sure if dramatics matters but inept there)..
So.. has anyone ever managed to influence him with amnesty? I've seen it done before with charity, looks quick and easy enough.. but amnesty...
Or can't he be influenced with it? Also, does anyone know how much parely would cost?

Remember that every use of an influence skill makes the denizen more resistant to it. This resistance can be a bit random, and if the battle goes too long, can result in immunity. Quettle is so strong that he sometimes becomes invincible before he hits 0 ego. I found that as a high elfen with a throne, I could beat him about 70% of the time, and the rest he became invincible before I won.
Also, make sure you look like royalty.

How much does it cost to get permanent unenemied status from a village? When I was a wee novice I killed a farmer in Estelbar on accident (long story made short) and I got enemied. I'd dearly like to be able to be unenemied to there, but I'm fairly certain that the gold cost is high.

Just an idea.. but what if you commited a crime once then never again anything. So the longer ago it is you did it the lesser the gold cost is to parley?

It happened to me once when trying to get amnesty from Thoril. he become immune, i diverted him and then it worked.

It would be nice to see parley costs decay like that, but that would require knowing how much to spend, which you currently don't. This really, really, needs fixed. There is very little more frustrating then "Oh , I just wasted 100k gold."
Anarias2006-10-26 18:49:21
Elryn's wiki has a list that shows how much it takes to get unenemied from certain places. By the way, 30k is too little for the Mesa, 50k did the trick for me.
Sylphas2006-10-26 23:44:49
Having to check Elryn's wiki is a of a lot different than having parley simply tell you how much you need. Out of the entire population of Lusternia, I'm pretty sure very few even know about the wiki.

You're leaving out the important part - did the farmer drop raw commodities?

Amnesty used to be alot easier before the stat buffs where changed, since it was possible to reach much higher charisma stats. Normally with populus, netzach beauty blessing, and a good lion sphere I could reach 19 charisma.
Gandal2006-10-29 00:51:05
With Netzach, Populus, and Beauty blessing, still possible as a faeling but buffs are frustrating, yes.

It -would- be nice if there was a skill attached to analyze (but much higher up) that made you intuitive enough to know 'roughly' how much you might have to pay with parley, at least in increments of 50k 0-50, 50-100, 100-150, 150-200, ect It could give an additional part to analyze.
Analyze maeve:
She's friendly, blah blah, laidback, blah blah (additional if you have the higher skill:) "You believe getting parley from queen maeve will be ludicrously expensive"
= 200k-250k range or something along those lines, with the last words depending on that rough chart.

This is a great idea.
