Self-explanatory.

Bards are relatively good, but it's just the nature of any new class to need balancing and fixing up. It's never perfect the first time around, we'll most likely see some changes coming.

Bards need a way to strip deafness, preferably en masse. That's all.

ab music blanknote
Syntax: PLAY BLANKNOTE
One of the most closely guarded secrets amongst musicians is the existence of a "blank note" which can only be heard by those who are deaf. Miraculously, any who hears the sound of this note will be cured of their deafness, though they will be
stunned for a short time after hearing it.

Rauros, Cuber said en masse, as in an AOE version of Blanknote.
Shorlen2006-11-04 00:44:35
I think only ecologist druids have that. Its called Desert Smudge. 300 bleeding + blindness, strips sixth sense instead of sixth sense is up. Hits all enemies in room. Delayed action. Delay lengthed by anyone using a gust enchantment.

No, he said preferably en masse.

Meh, close enough.

For the proponants of blanknote, I will remind you all that blanknote can keep ONE person undeaf if you spend 50% of your actions doing it, or two people undeaf if you spend 100% of your actions doing it.
To put that another way, you have to blanknote EVERY SECOND ACTION action keep them undeaf.

Acrobatics needs fixed. It's tuned for Tarot, which is, theoretically, only a quarter of the bardic population. Music, Ecology, Illusions get no real benefit from Hyperactive or Springup.
Illusions could really use a spec, like Estarra had talked about. I love it, but it's terrible for combat without something to back it up, and songs don't seem to do it.

If Illusions was specced and enhanced, Psionics could also be nerfed nicely to balance Magi better.
Nementh2006-11-09 00:51:38
Yes.. illusions... specced... need... ability... to... do something... other then sit on my ass, undeaf the target, get gusted out of octave, (or treelifed) have my song effects ignored because our most effective songs require poisons, which illusionists have no means to deliver...
