Villages and Revolt Times.

Why exactly do most villages revolt around the same time of the month? What happened the randomness in the times?

Daganev2006-11-10 16:20:15
Ok... ummm... Can you show us what *pattern* you see? Because for it to not be random, there needs to be a pattern.

And no, "est" is not part of a pattern..... *peer Aiwindel*
Noola2006-11-10 16:27:37
Um... no? unsure.gif

There are 13 in the am, 10 in the pm. So, you're complaining about there being more morning revolts?

And the morning ones aren't all at the same time even. You've bolded a range of 1:56am - 11:25am there.

Honestly...that all looks pretty random to me. Am I missing something? unsure.gif
Acrune2006-11-10 16:28:26
You bolded like a 9-10 hour range. There are 14 times in the am, 9 in the pm. That seems random enough.
Narsrim2006-11-10 16:29:01
16/23 (~70%) villages are revolting between times when a given US player is going to be:

1. In bed
2. At work/school

The times very much favor persons living in the GMT time zone. I realize now random was a bad word to use. I should have used peak times instead. Most US players are in bed when the bulk of these villages revolt. They usually revolt outside prime us player time.
Diamondais2006-11-10 16:34:01
Its still pretty random. Most of the time the North American player base plays would be between at least 3pm to around 12am, give or take depending on the hours your work, have school in or go to sleep. Thats about 7 hours out of 24, maybe a few more during this time but you cant expect too much more.

Oooooooooh! Why didn't you say that in the first place? laugh.gif

Well, some of your bad US time dates are on saturdays and sundays, so that changes your availability numbers a bit.

70% of my time I'm at work, school, or in bed tongue.gif

Looks like hmm... 11 of those I'm usually asleep at that time. That does seem to lean a *little* in favor of my being asleep, but not enough to seem not random.
Narsrim2006-11-10 16:37:20
Let me rephrase:

Why is that the bulk of villages revolt when the least amount of players are online? I've been online at 2:00am - 10:00am est a few times, and Lusternia is usually dead.

Yet if you log on in around 6:00pm est you will find 2-3x the amount of people online.
Daganev2006-11-10 16:44:07
In other words, you want the village revolt times to STOP being random...

Random means... random. Unless you play 13 hours a day, odds are , the villages will revolt when you arn't online.

Okay, thats a bit better.

Yes, I do agree with that, it would be nice to see more revolts during the times when more people are available. Only thing is, when more people are available, its easier to make them drag on and on and on.

Where as during the early morning for North Americans, are when the revolts finish quicker in what Ive seen.

Because it's random. doh.gif

Unless you're on more than 12 hours a day, the majority of revolts will happen when you're not around. What you're saying is that revolt times should favor the times that you're online.

I dunno. Cause that's what happens when you randomly have revolts? It doesn't happen just when there's folks around? And the reason it might be the bulk is that there are a larger amount of hours in the day that are 'off-peak' than there are 'peak' so of course it's more likely a random revolt will happen during the 'off-peak' time.

That's just my guess though. dunno.gif
Unknown2006-11-10 16:53:16
Unless if you want the revolt to happen when your around, so be it. We were hoping back then during the revolt in Acknor and Estelbar that we could get it before you came up, yes you. Why? Because you can take out all of us alone while Mitch and the others influence.

If you have any problems with revolt times, go talk about it since you're an envoy, and oh while you're at it, be sure to make mag skills useless and celestian ones OP so that way, we'll just be left with nothing.

And for this topic: I don't have any problems with the times of revolts, if it's random, it's random.

16/24 hours of the day (8 for sleep, 8 for work/school) are when any human being should be somewhere other than Lusternia.

As for making it not random, I know a fair number of people who play during offpeak times. Wouldn't that make it unfair to them?
Unknown2006-11-10 17:35:42
I wish revolts would happen a bit more during peak hours too. I've only been part of one revolt in months! I miss them a little bit sad.gif

And um, Hraddon-the entire last half of your post was pretty derogatory. It was uncalled for and not even relative to the conversation. Try hard to be mature and not take cheap shots eh? This isn't the place for it. And if your so concerned with your skills becoming better, why don't YOU become envoy and do something about it?
