Copper should be introduced as a new metal comm to give trade designs using metal a bit more variety.
Also, a new sigil for enchanters: maybe call it the lightning sigil, not sure about a name. Requires 2 copper to create and when affixed to a non-enchanted object (no paintings, statues or other sigils for instance) will destroy the object.

so slap knuckles, apply this new sigil to the weapon you just knocked out of someones hands?? Or give sigil to @target. dominate @tarrget attach sigil to sword??
Don't think it would be a good idea for the sigil....

It would work like the mushroom sigil in other IRE games, i.e. using it hurts everyone in the room significantly. Also, I don't think its an action that's forceable.
Its primarily meant to clean up trash like flamed objects.
Edit - As another way to stop it from being abused you could have it give whoever uses it a ten second stun and of course, not make it forceable.

Slapknuckle and anything that can force-drop a weapon should just be removed entirely. Like dilute.

vestiphobia should just be made to toss it into your inventory instead of on the ground.

With selfishness, it just goes to your inventory (as far as I've seen). Yay selfishness.

New metal would be nice, sucks to have to stick to iron and steel.
Shryke2006-12-02 22:08:14
copper would be pretty weak for weapons though.. I don't think it would be very useful except for decoration... And should be coded as such, so people don't go walking around with solid copper swords. (if it were implemented)

Its a nice sentiment but I doubt it would be coded like that. If anything, the Charites would simply reject the designs like they do with gold now. There are still designs that describe platinum as being harder then steel though so realism is already a bit compromised.
I picked copper because it would allow the option of having the traditional gold/bronze colour or the oxidized green. Cobalt or nickel would be better choices for strength but they aren't as versatile as copper from a design stance.

Copper is good for making bronze, and anyone who thinks you can't make weapons out of bronze has a lot of explaining to do.
Now, technically, if there's well-refined iron, bronze should be substandard.. and if there's steel, doubly so. But that kind of "technically" is entirely ridiculous to use in Lusternia. I suspect that if you went through every existing weapon design with that level of "technically", they'd all fail just as badly in one way or another.

Also, copper domes. Lightning protection ftw.

I'm glad someone understood that before I started having to explain myself.
